hey guys. First time posting on here, the group seems pretty knowledgeable and that's definitely what I am lacking. I found a patch of white fuzzy mold ( im assuming thats what it is ) at that bottom of the stem coming off the main stock. I am about 6 weeks into flowering. I cut the stem off at the bottom , and cut it in half to see how far up it went. the buds all seem okay with no mold on them. Just wondering are the buds still going to be salvageable after curing or should i throw them and what are the reasons for the mold / how can I prevent this from happening again. I am a first time grower so any and all help would be great. Thanks all

What kind of ventilation do you use and how big is your growspace?

The buds that don't show mold should be ok but look closely. Lower humidity and increase ventilation will aid in preventing a re-occurrence.

Its a spare bedroom, completely empty besides for lights and plants. But it is about 12ft by 10ft. The room has one window which has been closed. But i do have a fan on in there at all times.

That's quiet a space you got there. You will need a lot more than one fan or a couple of fans. You should see your entire canopy move during flower to prevent but rod.

Thanks alot. The humidity part , We are currently having above normal temperatures right now where I live. The only place warmer in north America then us right now is Florida. This morning when i got up the floors were wet from humidity (slept with window open) iv had the dehumidifier on in the room out side my grow room. Should i switch this up and put it in my grow room ? or will that dry it out to much ?

It is a very big space, but it is also kind of humid at times where its in my basement, ( its a finished room, wood floors etc) Should i just add more fans into the room or should i try and have the window open also ?

What kind of extraction do you have and what kind of circulation-ventilation? I need m3/h or cfu specifications to have an idea what you have there. An open window will do little to no good.

Well We all learned with the first bud rot. But you will need a closed room, with decent extraction and enough circulation. Prior to looking at cooling or dehumidification solutions.
