I took a picture last night, but my phone only had 4% power. The pic was blurry. So today is day 14. I didn't add water this morning, because it only took 3 of my 9oz cups yesterday. I will go water and see how much she takes. I will be back in a few with picture and results.peacez slow

Once soil gets to X Level - 100-110 millibars - water usage will be slight until plant starts to use .... As Sam grew usage went up but when she flowered it skyrocketed as you saw in water journal, as crude as the journal was it was accurate - I couldn’t even of imagined pouring that much water into a potted plant ..... The usage compared to Tent Mate potted plant was like 5 to 1, just unreal amount but then she out produced them 3-4 to 1.

Ok, the outside temps are lower than usual and I shut off my 4x4 lights. So it's a little cooler than normal in my room. I can tell the uptake on all of my plants are down compared to normal temps. So I did water the White Crack and she overflowed at 3 of the 9oz cups again. However it was more, not less overflow. She looks great, I am not worrying about anything...but she could go longer without watering. No big deal. The seedlings are doing great too! I see a significant amount of growth on those 2 seedlings that are in cups. 8 more days and I will transplant them as well! I will do up their Earthbox Juniors the day before I transplant. To allow for some Wicking to take place before I transplant. Super happy so far! White Crack Day 11 first pic. Then day 13 . Then Day 15 Peace slowandeasy

@slowandeasy ..... You can see the growth, and she is just starting to gets her roots out there .... Like I said around day 25 she will be way big ..... Once she gets into the soil the growth is akin to hydro, unreal when the moisture level in the soil is perfect ...... I’ll probably never grow in a cloth pot again and the watering is so easy and you never guess ..... Even with a good moisture meter, cloth pots are still hard to keep at perfect moisture but not so with the Earthbox!

PS ..... for non blurry pics I use timer on camera, that way I don’t have to push button to take pic, I just hold phone still until timer takes pic ..... Also, put piece of tape near slice at stem, we don’t want any nasty bugs!

I know she isn't drinking a ton yet. However I see added growth daily. Actually the pics from today dont show the girth change. The stalk is bulking up. Right now I only have 1 55watt cob. Could add another, but I don't feel the need yet. T

Think the one light is fine but get that 100 or second 55 ready .... Maybe 5-7 days away .... Height between nodes seems fine now .... And Sam didn’t drink much at first ..... Sam started at about 50 days when in full flower!

Well I taped up that slice in the cap last night. Having significantly colder temps outside and I am drying some Blue Microverse in a 4x4 tent. Therefore my temps are a few deg colder than usual. This will slow some of the evaporation that would normally have occurred. I watered a few min ago, 3 of the 9oz cups. However, I see a decent amount of bulking up going on. She is staying a nice height so far. I will wait a few days before training her. I have her on 24/0 schedule. In about 5-7 days I will add another light and adjust the schedule to 20/4. This will give her some down time to stretch while I train her and keep things nice temps wise. I have extra Cobs. However, I might try something I saw online. Not sure and no hurry. I have the other 55w cob already in there. I would just raise them a bit.

How is condensation under cap?

When Training Time comes, take a look at some of Sam’s early entries ..... Issue with training is how do I tie down? I resolved using tent pegs and simply wrapped around stem and dragged it which ever way I wanted ...... Working the the pegs I found very quick and never worried about damage to the stem or leaves ..... even used in cloth pots ......


Maybe you’ll come up with another idea but with the plastic cap you don’t want to violate that and no real tie down areas except side of box ......

Anyways super excited for your grow ..... and I’ll be restarting mine shortly before turkey day ..... Meanwhile I have some of an outdoor to tide me over - can’t believe we are sitting here now still smoking some of Sam’s Stable Mates - never got tired of this stuff, unlike commercial grown I am so used to for over 35 years ..... I Flippin LOVE growing these autos!
