Mephisto Genetics White Crack and Kis Organics Soil

So that pic was from yesterday. I will update later, she has been growing right before my eyes! Very healthy! I will snap a pic when I tie her down. The fan leaves are getting rather large. She isn't stretching a ton, which is great. I don't feel the need to add my other cob yet. She is doing so well, no need to mess with her. Once she starts to Pre-Flower I will add the other light.

I am always surprised how much of a plant I can grow with just a 40 watt cob during the first 3-4 weeks. I love the versatility of cobs, and I have way more than I ever use (but its good to have spares just in case).
I use 4000k for veg, then add a 3500k during flower. Its amazing to me how much grass I can grow with 80 watts per plant. I move the 4000k from overhead to an angled side light and it works slick!
cheers

Agree with you! They are powerful little things! I actually like the additional 6500k the whole grow. I use 1 6500k per 2 or 3 of the 3500k. It puts some extra frost on them. I like my cobs to be further away than most other lights because of the spot light effect.

Do you use reflectors on your cobs? If I need to put em close I remove my reflectors. Also works slick to cover a little more area.
6500k, those must be super blue!

Soil moisture level is perfect for entire grow with this style SIP and you’ve got light / environment / soil all dialed in so we are seeing what these plants are capable of under ideal or close to ideal conditions ..... Growth is akin to hydro although DWC could have an edge, if perfectly done, but LOS is tough to goof up when simple procedures are followed - even if you have to buy your soil - we do not all have organic “sinse” but vendors like KIS makes it possible for anyone
This strain likes leaf tucking band it helps keep the side branches similar height without training. I have to tie the top toward the open area tonight. My Goal will be to shape it the same shape ad the tent/Junior. Rectangular.

With roots better established, growth is going to explode over the next week - Best tie her down sooner than later, I'm thinking .....

I believe growth in a SIP Container, due to perfect soil moisture is akin, if not better, than hydro - maybe DWC can compete but not normal hydro Setups ....... And NO HYDRO or DWC grow can even come close to taste / smell and quality of LOS, zero / none / nada period.

You can't say all Organically grown bud is better. If done well, yes. But I have seen some pretty poor Organic buds. Many people have low density on their Organic buds, but the smell/taste is usually pretty good. Many "Organic" grows lack yield, which is very important. I can grow plants in a 2 gal pot of Coco just as large as a 5 gal DWC plant. However, both tend to extend the life of most Autos. I prefer harvesting on time. So I use small pots of Coco to help decrease the time a tad. I will agree that if done right, Organic can yield great and taste excellent. I hope mine has both good yield and taste/smell. Peacez slowandeasy

Talking properly done LOS - Not organic based, wish I knew what the flip I’m doing grows .... I am talking LOS grow with experience....

You have so much experience your grow will produce and I’m looking forward to your taste test after properly cured, so sometime next year!

Peace,
MOB

I know. I have seen some LOS grows go 100+ days and yield horrible. I was turned off of LOS for that reason for the longest time. I didn't care for It because the low yields and it can be dirty. However, the shower cap and Junior are cleaner than my Coco grows! The plant is doing AWESOME IMO. I'm super excited. And BTW, I have another thread in Roc Bud Inc area and I am transplanting 2 plants tonight. If anyone wants to follow those plants. They are on day 10 and more ready to transplant than the White Crack was at day 10. But I watered a little differently, so that plays a role in root development. I did a little more top feeding on these, to tighten up tbe top layer so it transplants without crumbling soil. The strains are Roc Dawg Funk and Diesel Cookies. Peacez slowandeasy

you never sit still brother. Every day, not once a week, you're doing some sort of experiment. I dont think noobs should experiment like that of course. Some might be tempted if they follow you.
So what's next?
