Dry ice is probably the best for kief, although dry sifting can produce well. I'm going to dry sift and see how it goes, dry ice for me is too expensive.

How to efficiently collect kief?
Probably I will just dry and smoke the trimmings....

NEVER throw away trim!! Easiest thing to do is cook it in coconut oil ( or olive oil ). then you can cook with it or make capsules, VERY potent capsules...lol! Using Everclear or other consumable alcohol over 190 proof works great for oil/wax extraction, and you can keep some as Green Dragon!A couple drops under your tongue and BANG!!!............

Nice posts bro iv never done any type of extracts but this time all my trim I uzaly throw away I'll make something with I'm sure use guys will walk me through it

Okay I'm back with the update to finish this run
image.jpeg
after the initial purge is done these are the material to get it finished,I've seen guys use just the blade to scrape with but the holder is cheap and makes it easier
image.jpeg
after it is in the silicon mat,it is placed on the stovetop at around 120F to lay it flat
image.jpeg
the bonus this week is some caviar,Starting with some Durrty Magic bud (thanks @AutoBeanStalk ) and some 73 mic GG from 11-20-15
image.jpeg
the wax was lightly heated and the bud rolled in it to coat it evenly
image.jpeg
ready for a roll in the kief

I done two small buds and this is how they ended up

looks like chicken or pork chops !!!

This last pic shows the long soaked eth that woulda normally been left to evap but thanks to the tip from @Bekay ,this .84 is an extra bonus...Peace guys,I hope this helps the community to see that eth extractions are not too difficult, and don't take too long,I can finish a run in about 2.5-3 hours with the purge(depending on the amount I run)..and it's easy to purge !!!

Way to my friend. Let me know if notice any taste/effect differences with the primary batch from this run.
Will do,,both the first run and long soak are sitting under a Pyrex dome in the sun..

Great information up in here bro! Just read up the whole thing, excellent!
:slap:
Thank You anthro ,I was just comparing the posts from sept to now to see the changes my process has went thru,I'm glad that I've had the chance to share all of them with you guys, this community is great!!

Hey bro, you think it would be okay to reconstitute the extract into a much more palatable liquor, like Jack Daniels or Bombay Sapphire, ect.?

I've got the the washes done and the Everclear reducing now. Wanna keep as a tincture, but I just cannot handle Everclear, not even an eyedropper lol. So I'm thinking, once it's all extracted and reduced, the role of the Everclear is done, as is the need for low water content. Thus, I think it could be then re-disolved (reconstituted actually) into a lower proof ethanol without any issues. It's not like the new higher water content is going to bind to any new chlorophyll, it's already extracted and whatever is there is there. Right? I extracted from cured, extra dried, and decarbed and refrozen flower anyway, so I got amber wash not green.

I'm probably going to try it anyway, just checking your thoughts on it.

Its nice in Captain Morgan....
