Should I wait until my seeds to sprout before turning on my light or when I put the seeds in the soil? Thanks.

i'll answer ur ques with another -> when a bean is planted outside, duz the sun turn off until it sproutz-? ;) ppp

My germ/veg light, T5HO, is on 24/7 for every germ and throughout 3 week veg...been doing it this way for 15 yrs...99% germ rate. Of course, living in a large farming community is definitely an advantage....no turning off the sun for anything....

With autoflowers I run 24/7 til 4 weeks then switch to 20 hours light and 4 hours dark. Some do 18/6. Others do 12/12. Others do 19/5. I recommend at least 18/6 for autos. If you run your grow lights 24/7 always you'll get less time using it and if you turn your light off it gives it a rest as well as your plant a rest. It saves money on electricity. It's silly to run lights 24/7 always. Some strains dont like it and can get stressed but most autos wont mind. But I think it's a waste of money if you ask me running it 24/7 the whole cycle. I have my light on when I sprout my beans in my tent for added warmth for better germination success. I always have great success germinating. But I only mess with the top breeders. Good genetics are worth the extra bucks I think. Photoperiod plants I veg 18/6 until I wanna start budding then flip to 12/12

I use a seedling heat mat and light 'em up with a 48w TaoTronic Bulb at first sign of emergence.
It's all grower preference and finding your growing "sweet spot".
