My ladies are exactly 59 days old. The leaves are yellowing and the trics are clear and cloudy (no Amber) The pistols are turning orange and buds are formed n 81112 008.jpgicely. They are under a 1000w HPS light. When should i start flushing. I know you need to do it for 2 weeks before harvest but seeing as though i dont 81112 004.jpgknow when the two weeks will be, there has to be another way to tell when to start the flush. Im a 1st time grower so all advice will be appreciated.

what strains are you growing? from the look of those pics the top colas are still forming and have a way to go before harvest yet? your 1000w hps should definitely be giving you some chunkier buds up top I think.

I probably shouldn't say anything as autos are newer to me than you, but i do know lights and I'm guessing that you have too much hight and your plants are reaching. 1000wt are tricky to use without movers because of the heat. 600wt actualy give you the biggest bang for the wt as far as LUX goes without as much heat. 2 400wt or 2 600wt stationary is better then a 1000. if you use 1000wt, you should consider doing the bonsai thing. I have played with this method for a ot of years and it works for all kinds of plants so I'm guessing Autos should respond as well.

Having used 1000 wt for years in dirt with sativa based plants in 7’ ceilings, we learned to bonsai plants to get the most out of every bud (you get several “top” buds, not one, without shocking the plant by nibbing, or cropping it to keep it low). A friend in the Sierra’s perfected the process and could get a 8’ plant to never get any higher off the ground then 2’, pegged to the ground as it grew. Almost impossible to indentify from the air. He also raised wolfs (hybrids) on his 150 areas to keep the curious outJ. When I went to coning I ran 3 1000wt MH/HPS over the 4x8 flow table and my Holland friends told me it was imperative to get movers (I was going to use 2 stationary) to keep my babies to grow out nice and fat and not up tall and thin and keep the lights close. A 130 single stem 18” fat bud plants per cycle (2.5 months) proved their point.

Anyway, these guys know more about how the autos work and I’m new at them and I should probably sit back and listen,,,,,,but it does look like stretching to me.

I'm not seeing any signs of stretching in his plants, they look just as they should. We've found that about 1" node spacing is best for autos. Autos don't lend themselves well to topping, only delays them while they recover and they don't produce any more. LSTing does work well to control the height but doesn't seem to increase bud production the way it does with photos.

These are pics as of this morning. They are yellowing nicely Muddy. The plants look greener from the pics because of the HPS spectrum. These pics are with the light off. Tell me what you think. As o said the trics are Milky and pistols are turning orange. If these have a few weeks left, when do i flush. Also the colas on one of my plants is long and thin but its still pretty dense.

Yes, can see them much better with the lights off. I agree with TBM, about another 2 weeks so go ahead and start your flush.

Deez hello mate, looking at your picks,it wont hert to leave for three weeks more in one week start to flush leave for to weeks more, you no how to flush this is what i do take to bathroom put in bath flush with clear ph water around 6 to 7,check run off should be around 6 half,i grow in 7 .5ltr pots and will use say 10ltrs of water to flush a really really good flooding then leave to drain for a few moments, the longer you leave the more yield but there is a happy medium you will no when,i hope this helps
