how do i know when to stop feeding and watering my plants in preparation for harvest?

get a jewel loupe bro there like 15 dollars
for looking at thc if cloudy or amber

amber gives couchlock and cloudy is more heady a mix of both is best but i allways do when all is cloudy :)

yes xD

goodluck bro

I also harvest at 100% milky for the heady high, TBM stated they'll amber a little in cure. Also a clue that the plant is get ripe is the yellowing of leaves, 1st the big fans & if it flowers a long time the little bud leaves aswell.

As TBM and Smashed have said, autos don't always show amber so a good indication is when the primary and secondary fan leaves are gone and the bud leaves are turning yellow. Here's a picture that should give you a better idea of when to harvest.

great advice muddy i didnt know that sum dont turn amber ive never seen that but now if i do ill know its ok lol

With photo plants you can kind of control it more. I've not experienced the auto harvest yet. All that's been said is true though. Some plants aren't as resinous as others and won't put off enough trichs to see well. You can go by the color of the leaves as a first indicator then start examinining the buds and so forth. With "regular" autos my plan of attack is this...say you have a 70 day or 10 week strain such as onyx or mi#5 the last 14 days they'll see not much of anything. Water only until day 4 of countdown. At day 10 the lights will be turned down to 8 hours and at day 5 no light. This will force the plant to push everybit of available nutrients to the flower. Now that's just my method and is why I say you can control photos more. I may be fng up with autos doing this since they die off anyway
