Harvest & Curing what would cause this problem?

i harvested 2 onyx 15 days ago---i flushed 5 days --- and let sit 3 days then cut and hung.buds look really good --hung 4 days--jarred for 6 days with opening an hour in evening to air out.feels dry but burns like crap.what would cause it to not burn---?

Most likely you didn't flush them long enough. You really need a 2 week minimal flush. Is the ash black?

yeah, thats uausally excess magnesium I find... gotta flush real well.... last flush... 4-5 days before chop... do a 2-3 times pot volume flush.... then allow that 4-5 days for them to burn up the remaining...

done the same a few times. in my environment the harvested buds dry fast. usually 2-3 days. i know the general recommendation is longer. since i've been jarring them early and airing them often in the first week or so, the burn is much better. my experience is three harvests since figuring this out. GL

Yep. If it's cold add a bit of hot & get it over 18c to avoid root shock, but plain tapwater works well because the point of the flush is to force the plant to use-up the nutes it has stored, so the tapwater ph becomes irrelevat at this point as we don't want the plant to feed from the soil anyway.

Some people ph their flush water but personally I can't see any reason to.

I find that it takes longer to dry than you think.I think it takes a good three to four weeks to dry and cure slowly to get the best smell and flavor.

on my very first AF that i harvested, i never flushed. I figured i let it go to long it was covered in red hairs so i just choped it down. Dried and cured. It tasted like shit, didn't smell that great either and the high was very short. Lasted maybe 15 min. After ready though this, i am sure that not properly flushing it all out was the cause of a shitty outcome on that plant.

I flush now but really I don't do it for me. I found unflushed pot was fine. I used to find organically grown with fish emulsion or Iguana juice or several others stunk but not so much from the chemicals. I wonder what you were feeding yours to make it taste so bad. I never found it affected the stone much flushed or unflushed. the only difference I noticed was in the smoke I think flushed it is a little smoother. I am selling medical stuff so I now flush but if I was just smoking it myself I am not sure I would bother.
