I will be growing some Anubis Auto's soon (which iv not seen any reviews on so am hoping its a good strain) but am not sure what to feed them.

Am using a Wilma 4 pot hydro system and i have already bought nutrients such as:

- Canna Vegga hard water A + B
- Canna Flower hard water A + B

but i have seen other people using bloom and micro stuff in their hydros... will i need this stuff or is that more of a boost than a necessity?

Also is Canna a recommended supplier by AFN? i was recommended it by another grower :)

Hey there deviney, glad to have you here at afn, I don't have experience with the wilma system or the canna line of nutes. The Canna nutes you have there should provide the majority of what your little ones will need. Are you using tap water? RO water? What kind of grow medium in your wilma pots?

Cheers, L4

Hi am glad to be here :) am using tap water but just out of curiosity what is RO water?

an i will be using clay pebble medium in the Wilma system

RO water is reverse osmosis - They love it in America and can buy it at the grocery store, but i've never seen it in the UK.
Simply put - Its a water purification method.

Don't forget to let your tap water stand for 24 hours - plants aren't too keen on chlorine :)

American's are always fussy about food and have a new fad every year haha not that am saying its a bad thing, just something iv noticed.

Iv been wondering about this thing were i am meant to let the water stand for 24hr, were can i let it stand lol its not like i put it in the hydro system haha

Think ill have to purchase myself a big ass bucket... maybe ill ask the mrs if i can use hers ;) haha just kidding shed kill me if she seen i wrote that :p

A bucket will be fine .. I just leave the top off of my 5 litre water bottle for 24 hours - that does the trick too :)

looks like il invest in 12 5 liter water bottles to fill my 60L container haha

Not sure on how things work in your nation, but in Australia, the water treatment plant adds a chlorine stabilizer chemical so that it can't evaporate. Leaving a bucket of water out for 24 hours will not remove the chlorine.
You say plants are not keen on chlorine, but I was under the impression low dosage dosnt harm the plant and can help prevent root problems by killing certain bacteria

Thanks for the heads up Pleb ^_^

In our nation (UK) we have chlorine in our tap water which evaporates in about 24hours.
I hadn't considered that some locations add "chloramine" to tap water which does not evaporate.

From an Irritable bowel syndrome post (lol)

Countries such as the US, UK, Canada and Australia use chlorine as the main disinfectant in drinking water supplies (as opposed to continental Europe, which uses ozone as the tap water disinfectant).
However, many water suppliers in the US, UK, Canada and Australia also add a secondary disinfectant called chloramine to the drinking water supply, in addition to chlorine.
Good point!

Chlorine will do your plants no good :) Tried and tested!

Edit: And - Welcome to the forums buddy :) why not put up a "hello" in the introductions for a warm welcome! If you need any assistance, just hit us up and we'll do our best to help you out!

Hey dev ,I can recommend the Canna range mate .Its very good stuff & you have the main base nute for your grow already & thats basicly the same as the micro/grow/bloom in a 3 part range.I grow in DWC & use pretty much all the Canna products together with some Advanced nutrients ect ... If you check there website you will see there other hydro nutes ...such as cannastart,rhizotonic,cannazym,pk13/14 ect .There all good & serve a purpose .Rhizo is GREAT for root growth at seedling stage & I use it full strength for the 1st few weeks... zym is good for a healthy root system(essential for big buds!)... the pk boost is a adrenalin shot during bloom & so on .

These are the other kind of "supplements" you mentioned & are used to get the best results .... you don't have to use them & will still get nice bud if you don't ,but you can max your yield out when using the full range properly & thats why you see a lot of top growers using what seems to be a large array of nutes when growing !...The one thing I dont use is there cannaboost as its so damn expensive but hear its the dogs so may shell out some time?. I do use other bloom booster supplements though & they do make a difference in yield ...so I recommend a few extras to go with your base & you should be good to grow Hop digity:smokebuds:
