The size of the pot really is not a limiting factor depending on how good of a grower you are. We have members growing 80g plants in Solo cups and I have grown an over 7 foot tall with super cropping yielding 540g plant in a 6" rock wool cube?

I found 3 gals were the best fit for my 2x4. I could jam 4 but it was tight.
