OLD REVIEWS What should be fast flowering light scheledule and general advices for more yield?

Fast photos are photo genetics that have been crossed 1 time to an autoflower. They still require a change to 12/12 to initiate flowering (and kept at 12/12) but they will go through the flowering cycle faster than the original photo parent.

Remaining on a light schedule that is conducive to vegetation, 14+ hrs lights on, will keep the plant in the vegetative state.

The amount of light will not affect flowering time. (A 100w light compared to a 1000w light) Dli and ppfd have nothing to do with initiating flowering or the length of days it takes a plant to finish. They deal with the quality and quantity of the light used by the plant to make bud.

Hmm...DLI affects growth rate pretty significantly, disagree with what you're saying here. If the plant has auto genetics, it should finish a bit faster under higher DLI.

Welcome to disagree, but have run many runs at 18/6 and many at 20/4 and some at 24/0. Have never had shorter runs by increasing the amount of light. # of days to harvest stayed the same, no matter the lighting schedule.

Edit: 18/6 was the best quality, I got more weight at 24, but the quality dropped off. 18/6 seems to be the point of the cost outweighs the return, at least for me.

I would also suggest that growth and age are 2 separate things.

Growth rate and life span/finish times are two different things.. With your scenario, in theory, plants should take longer to finish under dli due to theabove average "growth", as In more leaves, bud sites, height, etc.. Autos have internally set finish times.. They finish when they finish.. If light hours effected finish times some one would have figured out a light schedule or par setting to grow 45 day autos by now I'm sure. Want bigger yields? Use better genetics and become a better grower. These are the only two ways I know of to increase yield, outside of a steroid like nutrient program, lol. Light hours do not speed up finishing times though. Experience has shown us that..

After growing our favorite weed for so long, I am still amused at the various aspects of cannabis that are now studied and sometimes used just for another gram or two or increase the fire. Oh yeah, there's so many small factors that can add to part of the experience.
Kinda hard to believe at one time we just planted a seed or three hundred seeds, give'm light and moisture and somehow we grew lots of weed. Thinking of how nature does it will make it easier ...can't argue with the science of improving but it does seem to hinder a few.
My advice is don't get bogged down trying to meet all the criteria...just plant a seed and smoke a joint.
