Hello! I get some Fast tagged seeds from friend. I didnt know they were not autos until today. I realized they're still light scheledule dependent.

So this will be my first Fast flowering grow and not sure how much light should I give for a day. Can I act like she's like a regular photoperiod? Is longer veg. grow will help for more yield or Is there a genereally approved light-time and growing time? What are your opinions and experciences?

hey there fast strains are typically autos crossed with photo period to speed up the flowering cycle of a photo period
you will need to have a 12/12 lighting cycle for flowering for vegging i would treat them as normal photo periods 4-5 week veg on 18/6 then flip over to 12/12
i grew some fast green crack from HSO it went 8 weeks but certainly could have been taken at 7
whats the breeders name which strain ?

LSD-25 fast by Garden of Green Seeds. I message them but didnt get a reply. What happens If they were stay with Autos in 20/4 until their flowering switch? Is this makes huge difference for growing and yield depending on it?

yea thats totally fine iv done it before they should be 100% photo period so wont flower in a 20/4 cycle
they will get big so probably transplant to bigger container for flowering time

I dont have any metering device for the light. So I believe I cannot make a definite decision about this.

But if its too much I was thinking the result will be longer veg period and slow growing. This what I understand logically Isn it right?

Fast photos are photo genetics that have been crossed 1 time to an autoflower. They still require a change to 12/12 to initiate flowering (and kept at 12/12) but they will go through the flowering cycle faster than the original photo parent.

Remaining on a light schedule that is conducive to vegetation, 14+ hrs lights on, will keep the plant in the vegetative state.

The amount of light will not affect flowering time. (A 100w light compared to a 1000w light) Dli and ppfd have nothing to do with initiating flowering or the length of days it takes a plant to finish. They deal with the quality and quantity of the light used by the plant to make bud.

My best advice is work on the quality & health of your plants...yeild will follow. The primary 'rocket science' I've used over the years, before all the dli/vpd stuff became prominent in growth, was patience to leave it alone and let it telegraph needs. It's a weed that will survive as weeds do...
Just get going and plenty of ideas will invade your space....
