I'm using coco/perlite and I think I might want to do a flush or two.

I know it should not be done in the trays. So do you just lift them out, keep the air lines on and put in another tray and flush with water and let them sit? What about the nute feed? Turn off the rez? Or can I leave it on and the trays will not overflow?

I am using the same. I flushed once by removing the pot to a five gallon pail and flushed in the pail.about a 3 gallon flush, dump repeat as needed then back into tray.

You had that massive root mass out the bottom of the pot. I know you moved to a bucket to finish it off. Did you flush because you had a nute problem too? Or just a flush for no particular reason other than finishing?

see mythbuster section on flushing.
Said to be a no no.
I dont flush. Dont starve the buds when they need food most. :hump:

Yes I have heard that. But I'm not flushing to finish myself. I want to flush because of PH/CALMAG possible issues for a plant that is early in growth phase. The plant is like neon light green leaves. And some pretty dark purple stems.

i usually flush after i finish my self. Bahahahaha
Sorry i had to

Since to fix an issue. I have zero knowledge in autopots. So sorry i cant help there.

Hope you get it all fixed up bub. Sorry for assuming you were "finishing"
Cheers grobro

Like ash stated I don't flush for the heck of it and no, @lunarman the plant I flushed was not the root blow out plant. I have two blueberries going and one was showing weird twisty deformed new growth. I flushed that plant and only because of that problem. My previous autopot grow was two photo period plants in a scrog and there was no possible way to flush.

The autopot site tells you if you want or need to flush at the end of a grow cycle, that plain water or flushing agent in the res with normal autopot operation is the suggested way by the manufacturer.

I flushed until my ppm was equal to my water in and then started the plant immediately back on a properly balanced 1/4 strength nute mix, upping the nute strength every day based on the plants response (coco shows progress/deficiency fairly quickly).

I might add, she's bounced back rather remarkably (this plant was flushed about 2-3 weeks ago)
