@Nabzter when you used it you didn't notice any smell or taste from the ona sticking to your buds? My cab is in a deep corner of my basement, if I got some ona I'd probably just put a bit around the basement in a few spots. I'm just not sure if I'll be able to make a filter work with my pc fan exhaust.

No it does not affect the plants/bud in any way

And @Fuggzy I use mine in exactly the same way. I have the air from the exhaust blowing over it

@Colonel what's the humidity in your cab like ? Iv found wrinkled leaves like I have seen in some of your pics can be due to high humidity.

@Nabzter awesome, thanks for the info man! I'll definitely get some soon. I'll probably have my exhaust blow over it as well.

My humidity when lights are on is usually 27-36% depending on when I last watered but it gets up to 45-60% when lights go out, agaim, depending on when I watered.

Ok well I that doesn't seem too bad maybe it's just genetics. Not really a major thing to worry about anyway I'm sure they will grow out of it.

@Fuggzy the post whoring thing cracked me up haha. But yeah I've been reading and planning so much over the last year and I practiced with bag seeds last summer and it turned out far better than I could have imagined with very very simple conditions. I yielded 6.5 oz from 4 plants with almost 2 oz being lost to bud rot :( still a fantastic learning experience.

I'll definitely be able to move the lights like that. And as far as the screen I'll just diy it with some string and some wood haha, I'm thinking I'll go with 2 inch holes, that'll give me 98 squares which I think is plenty.

Definitely agree about keeping it simple too. That's why I'm running all organics. Water only, maybe a top dress when it really starts to flower, or maybe a feeding with molasses. Wanted everything to be as simple as possible. And by the way, thanks for the rep man!

What's going on everybody?
Time for another update!

Still not really growing vertically, I'm thinking this is gonna be a bushy pheno. The branches are starting to go crazy!

Okay, this one is ready to take off. I need to get my screen in like tomorrow lol... branches are starting to form branches. It's about to explode I feel like!

Under, check out the purple on the calyxes! Hoping this turns out to be a super purple pheno.

That's pretty much it. Things are moving along quite nicely. It should only get more exciting from here!

Also, I'm thinking of pulling off the 1st set of single-fingered leaves and their branches, as they are quite low to the soil surface and light isn't really getting to them very well. I figure these branches won't be very productive anyways. Suggestions?

is that some N tox/clawling on the fastberry?

i was wondering the same thing....

@tripaholic88 yeah I was thinking I had some N tox, which sucks since I can't really do anything about it. I don't think it's really a huge issue. And yeah I don't wanna cut em and stress them out but at the same time I don't want them to waste energy ya know?

i would wait and see what a more experienced grower has to say because im still a noob :)

Alright guys so I've been thinking...

A week or two ago, I added some worms to my pots as an experiment. I read somewhere that one should put a bit of alfalfa meal in the top inch of soil or so to feed them, so I put about 1/2 a tsp or so into a hole and covered it up. I'm certain that caused nitrogen toxicity in both plants. The fastberry shows the claw and the og seems to have slowed growth and dark foliage. I'm going to go back and remove as much of the alfalfa meal as I can as soon as I finish this post.

Moral of the story: don't feed your worms extra organic matter unless your soil doesn't have much to begin with, especially not with something so high in n like alfalfa meal. Hell, don't even waste your time adding a couple worms to your pots.

In other news, I have built my screens to scrog these plants with, I just need to make some minor adjustments and they will be put in place tomorrow. Watering is going to be a bitch.

Peace :pimp:
