Extraction Welcome to the DIY vape section

How much liquidizer do you use? Winterizing helps you use less...saving you money AND keeping to your final product more natural.
IMPE winterizing strips out all of the terpenes. I really want to keep as much of the natural terps as I possibly can. I think you just need to try this for yourself to experience the flavors. Use your most fragrant rosin and the flavorless Liquefy at 2:1 rosin:Liquefy (or 1 gram rosin to 0.5ml Liquefy). Liquefy is $1.15 per gram for a yield of 1.5 grams of oil.I am so cheap and that is a good number for me.

I have been hitting this for several days now and it is still working! No burned cart yet?

I used to use that ratio with terps but found it made the rosin way to liquid and even though it would vape further down a cart it would consume the oil much faster and the flavor degraded quickly.

When I was researching and deciding on the cutting agent for my carts, I went with the True Terpenes Viscosity because you use so little (10%). I'm really committed to producing the purest extracts as simply and chemical/solvent-free as possible. Ultimately, I may invest in equipment to distill terpenes from trim and re-introduce that into the recipe instead of these generic plant terpenes. I think the legal market for this will pay a premium for the purest most
unadulterated product available.

I have and use the Viscosity product in my QWET extracts along with flavored Terpenes from them as well as others. The Delta 9 Terpenes are especially good. Viscosity does not work to thin rosin for vape oil. The carts just burn and foul.

Here is my QWET terp kit.

Hmmmm...
I've been able to get the carts to work wthout fouling, but the flavor isnt as good as when I practiced with bho. I knew I was losing terps with pressing rosin because of the heat, and adding too much extra flavored terps to overcome that works against what im trying to do.

Since you have tried Viscosity with your QWET, what is the drawback for you in using it? Is it that you have to winterize with the Viscosity... Or are there other factors too?

The answer is twofold, Making QWET is labor intensive and the results requires FAKE flavor terpenes to be added back in. Many if not most cannot be found to be replaced unless you buy cannabis extracted terpenes - very expensive. If you press rosin at 185°F you will lose very little of the terpenes profile. There are an estimated 120 to 140 terpenes in cannabis and I want to make medicine with the entourage effect. My rosin chocolates are whole plant medicines. I want my vape oil to be that as well.

You just mix the rosin and Liquidizer and into the Ccell?

Well kind of.. i put my rosin in a shot glass and put it on a hot plate. About 180 and I leave it there till it quits bubbling. Then I add the terpenes and mix it. Then into the cartridge it goes .

This is how I heat the mixture or decarb. rosin for edibles.

open the pictures. The temp on the hot plate was for decarbing. I use ~ 85°C for mixing the MassTerpenes Liquefy.

I put the rosin and Flavorless Liquefy in a small beaker Heat it on a hot plate covered with a coffee mug for 20 minutes (stir a couple of times) then right into the cart.

I didnt mean to over-simplify the mixing process... I heat and thoroughly mix as well before filling carts, but I have always winterized when using the True Terpenes Viscosity product. My question was more intended to clarify that there are no other steps... such as winterizing... when using the Mass Terpenes Liquidizer.
