I am from EU, shiping and importing taxes are too much to buy from USA.
Only option for us is aliexpress (they write lower price so no importing taxes) or EU based shops.

The old fuckn problem, us eu taxes n shht...cant see the reason if its not legalized stealing...
im from europe too and its a shame we still suffer by prohibition laws made by us businessmen in the first place where they now legalised and are pioneering a lot
Just after I ordered online, Robin emailed me because my order looked like I would overpower the cobs I was buying.. Outstanding customer service from those folks!
If I Was making a mistake, they'd have saved me $200...
They wanted me to know that the holders I ordered, I think they were the Ideals, were rated for 250V, and that IF I were to run the four 3590s I purchased in series, they would over spec the holders. I explained that I'd be using a driver for each, and I even gave the specs of the drivers I'm using to Robin, and he verified that all would be well in my case.
I wish I could get Mouser or DigiKey to do shite like that! How many tube sockets have I melted, just to learn the process....
ya know, I just noticed a couple burnt out leds on my old, Mars old style 300watt light and I have some extra CXA 2530 as I'm changing my DIY light to citizen 1812 chips. Thinking to put 4-5 2530 in it.
It's almost stupid if you think about it. Not bashing but how can these companies make such bold claims and show zero evidence that they are accurate. Type in led on eBay and change the search to auction only and the bid numbers are sickening.
@KonopCh@ClockworkOrange i'm not in europe but i'm in a similar situation. best thing i've found is to do some research about the local distributer of whatever parts you're looking at. you may be surprised to find that you can make some good deals; this is industrial lighting equipment, and there's need for it everywhere. you can also check the bigger electronic supply warehouses like arrow, digikey or mouser, although none of them are the cheapest and none of them is a 'one stop shop' for everything you need.
best option is probably kingbriteled on alibaba (not aliexpress). they just quoted me 250$, incl. 7 day fedex shipping, for a 150w driver and 3x3590+holders+predrilled heatsinks. everything i need except for some cabling, a knob and a frame. could get it together a bit cheaper piece by piece, but this is as close to plug and play as diy gets. if you futz around with it enough you can get the prices down by quite a bit - same if you order big.
