I have a jungle of happy trees.
I have a Blue Lab pH meter & I calibrate that phucker every time I use it just to be safe. Had to go buy a different brand of pH Down as my Nectar for the Gods pH Down was barely budging the pH at 40mL to a US gal!

Calibrate then test your tap water, when you mix up your nutes stick the ph pen in the water first, your tap water normally doesn't vary an awful lot, so you can see if your pens drifting out. Simples. (My tap water is normally 7.2 -7.3, if it's outside of that range for a couple of times I'll check the pen).
