Hi guys just wondering if anyone has tried the wedryer for drying buds? I am about to order one but just looking to see what sort of experience people have had with it before buying it.

Did you get one? Am thinking if investing myself but don't know how reliable it will be.
Thanks.

It works well nice breeze flowing through the buds with the little fan I’d imagine it wouldn’t be too hard to source a little fan if the one that comes with it ever packed in. As for the drying I couldn’t say how good it is as I only dried some trim and about 3–4 grams of popcorn bud due to the wet weather causing my plant to get mould had to chop her down and salvage that little bit but that little bit of bud was dry enough to put into jar after less than 3 days.

The smell is contained fairly well it wouldn’t get outside of the room your drying in but you can still smell a little

I just got an xl. Nice size but the fan is a little louder than I expected. I'm excited to see if it's more efficient than the paper bag method. I'll try to remember to let you know how my experience went post dry.
I use a dehydrator and I am hooked, just burnt a j from a plant chopped this morning. It's so loud you can smell it throughout the house just leaving bud out in bedroom. Please let me know how it worked so maybe I won't be laughed at for using it. I honestly would love to have proof from others that it is possible to have good smoke fast. Also on noise I leave mine in grow room and just shade it from light.

My buddy had a spare 4" carbon filter so I've just bought a second inline fan & will construct something basic & cheap with a sturdy cardboard box or large plastic lidded container. Reckon I can get it up & running for under £20 considering the filter was free!

I kinda feel that the cardboard box method is the same as dehydrator, my dehydrator lowest temp is 74 it has a small fan and a few small holes. So most of the air stays trapped inside and in return helps cure it. Because if you exhaust all the air without returning a little you will end up with a hay smell.

But there wouldn't be any additional heat in the box as opposed to the dehydrator. I think a good amount of pencil size holes in one area, replicating a grill should allow for enough air to be drawn in?
I'm no scientist & I'm just guessing here [emoji3] Can't see another way of smell proof drying without using the grow tent or investing more coin.... Totally open to suggestions though [emoji108]

Dehydrator has a thermostat and doesnt even kick on until night when temps drop below about 72. As far as smell goes I cant help. I just make sure I dont have any guest that day. Another plus for the dehydrator, faster dry means lees time with house smelling.

I dont even trim, just chop dry and roll on trays to trim

Ok so I see a lot of new growers in here that are spending 12 weeks to grow the finest bud they have ever had and they are blowing it in the last few days. Drying and curing properly will give you the product that you cannot get on the street or dispensary. You may not even know how good premium bud can be! IMPO dehydrators ruin your bud you might as well go out and buy brick weed.

Hang your bud in a dark 70°F at 50% RH space with a gentle air movement. It will take 4 to 7 days to dry to ~62% moisture. Place in 1/2 gallon jars with small hygrometers and monitor them. If the RH goes over 69% open the jars for 30 minutes in a 50% RH space. If the RH is below 58% add Boveda 62s. The first few days dump the bud out for 20 - 30 minutes(carefully) unstick the buds and watch for mold. Now for the next 10 days burp daily. Then add a Boveda 62 or 58 depending on your preference. The next few weeks open once a week and then once a month for as long as you have it. I have had bud improve for several months but a minimum cure is two weeks in the jars. Once you have tasted properly cured premium bud you will never take a short cut again unless you are out of weed in which case all bets are off.
