Well aint that just the shit! lol... I have wanted to add both arudino and ESP32 to the pi config through I2C. Use them for solid controllers, and the pi more for logging and "remote management" as well as graphing and file server etc.
So things are bit hectic at the moment.. but would love to dive into that some more! cheers man!

Sorry i couldn't respond.to Christmas greetings. power went out friday. because of 70 MPH winds power out for 4 days.
And when it went out there was a series of surges that has killed my computer. i can use it for a few minutes but fans are dead and it will quit when it warms up. so i may be absent for awhile. plants took a small beating with no light for 4 days , but thet are close to being done.
a few more days and i will start trimming Bruce. ya know an arm and a leg.

Hope you all had a great Christmas! and i wish you all a happy and healthy New Year! it should be a very interesting year.
