Indoor Vapo's Dizfunctional Dinafem Diary.

aha...volumne of active growing space.....so its not the size of tent,but the active growing area.i often wondered,but now i read active growing area.if ya had 13 feet ceiling and growing in small pots,would fluff the numbers up completely.is active growing area the amount of space the plants take up ? is it from the light down ? it reads like its not tent/room size.
your cfm/h increase as plants grow im sure,or is the figure we take as the maximum size/area the plants will take up ?
back left lookin nice.

I think if you're using a tent, the it is the volume of the tent.
It's space/volume e.g. m3 / cubic feet, not area, e.g. m2 / sq ft.

So for example, if your tent is 4' x 4' x 7' = 1.2m x 1.2m x 2.1m --> 112 cb ft = 3 m3,
then 8900 cb ft / hr = 240 m3/hr required.

oops area/volume 2,3 4th dimension and all that.
its the active growing volumn that got me.i had allways just calculated the tent size.but re reading it again,active makes me think.......what is the inactive volumn then ? the volumn of the tent that has no plant in it.(are we gonna have to fill it up with water to check?)
2 plants the same size,if 1 plant is in a tent twice the size of the other....does it need x2 the amount of air ? no,dont think so. the active growing volumn is the same for each plant no,maybe?.a seedling dont need the same amount of air as a fully grown plant.the actice volumn is the space the plants take up.as they grow the plants cm/h needs increases.

thats the total volumne of the tent.if the plants only take up half the space (active growing volumn)
the plants need air,the tent needs nothing.is active growing volumne just a new word/term/phrase like cultivar :shrug:
forgotten coookies make ya forget things :pass:

Outstanding report on BK! Sounds perfect for a lazy day. One to put on the to grow list.
Been known to get the shears out a bit early for smoke or space. Sometime the early cuts are the treasures!
