Unknown strain shows leaf discolouration

Hey, long time lurker, first time grower/poster here; I am hoping someone can help me identify what's wrong with my herb's leaves, a couple of weeks ago they were perfect but in the last couple of days light coloured freckles have appeared on the leaves close to veins.

Started growing two unknown seeds last July in soil. Put them in an old wardrobe three weeks ago under a Blackstar 240w. Plants are growing in potting compost with added minerals (including a little yellow sulphur to alter the pH).

Been watering them with pH 7.0 (adjusted with apple cider vinegar down to 5.9) twice a day. Last week, I started fortifying the 5.9 water with half strength Big Bud.

Anyone recognise this or got any ideas please feel free to wax lyrical.

:howdy:Welcome long time lurker, tankfly as a user id must have some history behind it,:D lol. Too many unknowns yet to give a complete diagnosis, but in the main forum there is a section on different issues that will affect your plant's health. I would first suggest you look over the thread and see what relates to your situation. I would first question why you are lowering your ph to 5.9? 6.5 is the sweet spot for marijuana grown in soil. lowering your ph down to 5.9 could result in nutrient lockout, essentually starving your plants.
Are you in vegative mode or flowering mode? Depending on when you started them in july, they may be ready for the flowering stage. How much soil are you using? Does it contain all the trace minerals your plant needs to live a healthy life? Are you using tap water to water your plants? If so, do you let it sit for 24 hours to disipate the chorline?
It may be a calcium dificiency. Calcium gets locked out at a ph of 6.4 or lower. Unsulphered mollasses can give your plant both calcium and magnesium. Or, it may be a bug infestation...............I've never encountered spider mites (knock on wood) but they also could cause your leaves to discolor like that. Neem oil is what others suggest to rid yourself of pests like that.:2cents:
I just realized that you may not even know if you have males or females unles you are flowering.......post more pics of your entire plant.
I hope your plants recover and thrive. Good growing Kharma going your way!:wiz::wiz:

I'm guessing there photos.. and untill you switch to 12/12 they wont flower ..but by now there should be preflowers for sure...

I'll check for spider mites dude, cheers for the suggestion.

I see, I thought my sweet spot was between 5.8 - 6.5 but if that's the case I'll up the pH, thanks buddy :)

Are you in vegetative mode or flowering mode? Depending on when you started them in july, they may be ready for the flowering stage.

I'm into my third week of flowering, buds are forming in several places around both plants and look healthy enough.

How much soil are you using?

I'm using approx 2.5 liters of soil.

Does it contain all the trace minerals your plant needs to live a healthy life?

Difficult to say exactly, I've done my best to cover all my bases regarding the minerals.

Are you using tap water to water your plants? If so, do you let it sit for 24 hours to disipate the chorline?

Yes, I'm using tap water, letting it stand for at least 24hrs. I don't believe that chlorine is an issue - the tapwater here (Ireland) has added fluoride, no chlorine as far as I know.

It may be a calcium deficiency. Calcium gets locked out at a ph of 6.4 or lower. Unsulphered mollasses can give your plant both calcium and magnesium. Or, it may be a bug infestation...............I've never encountered spider mites (knock on wood) but they also could cause your leaves to discolor like that. Nice one buddy, cheers :)

Kharma right back at ya bud :)
Yep, I think they're females and yep they're flowering.
I'll post more photos :)

Thanks for nutrient tables goauto6, this will take some study.
