A mate had a site that I don't think he's gonna use this year so may be up for planting out there at some point, if he's cool with it. Its a fucker getting out an about with all the lockout rules in place where I'm at...

Been back to the site after four weeks and nothing has been touched so o think this is safe too go! I ventured further into the woods and found a lot of ground water but I did find a decent plot to dig another site. I didn’t do this this morning as I didn’t have enough time but will do it next weekend.
Very close to the area I found a few holes that had been dug out, at first I thought this was probably a lampers work, but as far as I know there are no rabbit burrows near to the plot, but there are some in the area. I would have thought there there was a fault in the ground but stones have clearly lifted and left on the sides of the holes. I thought this was the case of lampers too because of the cigarette packet I found last time I was there. However, after some investigation I seem to think it could have been a badger trying to dig a new sett in the area.
Anyways, I’m popping my seeds today. I’m looking forward to this!

I'm currently moving my seedlings out into a DIY greenhouse during the day now and back into the cabinet at night untill temps go up abit outside then they can stay out all night in there until they go somewhere else,
What's the best way to dig a plot @Daipot
Just go at the ground like a madman with a spade or take away the top layer and then go at it like a madman?
What u gona use for slug prevention?

Just take the turf off and turn over what’s underneath. I’m gonna use pellets around the site then copper wire around the plants

Ive loads of old cables I can take wire off and put round the pots, gonna get some pellets too, weather is picking up abit now so have to act fast and get a a site or 2 going and plants in the ground,
the propagator with the 14 seeds in jiffy pots got mold on the pots and looked rotten so I took off the lid and set it on the top shelf in boiler shed and forgot about it, (wana see them now lol thier still going and about 6 inch tall growing very slow, I hate them jiffy pots they are horrible things,

Strip them and save some money. Funny enough, had white mould appear on my jiffy pellets last week and fucked the seeds that were in them, nightmare
