New Grower UGHijinx New Grow

It's a bummer I already purchased the products but much rather it be a lost few bucks than my time. I'll use it in a veggie garden or something around the house.

Yeah it sucks as that stuff isn't cheap.
I had an extra bag that I threw away.
Very happy with the switch to bas though.

Thanks again for the feedback!! Out of interest, would you be willing to share your current organic mix? I am playing with the idea of a throwing a 2 or 3gal. In my 2x2 for an organic run. I won't need access to it for seedings for some time so figuring why not since the equipment is idle.

I have a the following BAS products on hand:
-BAS Craft blend fertilizer
-BAS Build a Flower top dress
-BAS Worm castings
* Thinking BAS 3.0 soil to start but not opposed to amending or buffering my own, or those off the shelf soil.

Any feedback or insight is appreciated. Thank you !!

I used the BAS light and 3.0 and they have been all combined at this point being re-ammended going on 6 grows now with no issue. 3.0 will be fine to start in same thing with the light IMO but you will need to add something to the light sooner than you would the 3.0

Yeah mate,I dropped a seed directly to 3.0.
Top dressed with craft blend, castings, Kashi blend and buildaflower.
I also do a light watering of buildabloom each Wednesday since a couple weeks into flowering.
I'm growing in a earthbox jr.

Excellent thank you for the feedback! I'm going to have to give it a go here soon.

General questions, I noticed seedling starters leaves slightly pointing up towards the light. Possibly over thinking it but was thinking my light was a bit too high and dropped down a few inches.

Also noticed a couple pests..one was a small 'flier' black body, clear wings. I believe fungus gnat. Noticed two so far, killed both, I'm sure there will be more. The other was a brownish/red 'crawler' I am yet to identify. Any ideas on what to start thinking about using? I've heard beneficial nematodes might not be a bad idea to water in. Also thinking about picking up some Dr zymes or similar for when they get bigger. Again might be over thinking it...

Here's a few additional pics:

Nematodes are great, I usually throw in a few yellow sticky traps in case but they have not been an issue since my 1st run after getting them under control initially.

Ooooh i was so close to getting the X3 mini for my 2x2 recently. Do you plan touse yours for flowering?

Yes! Fungus gnat! Get some sticky traps to hanground the plant or just lay them on the soil stickyside up. Also to control the earlierforms of gnats, get some BTi (e.g. Mosquito Bits from Summit), and for general pest prevention get some neem seed meal , too.

General questions, I noticed seedling starters leaves slightly pointing up towards the light. Possibly over thinking it but was thinking my light was a bit too high and dropped down a few inches.

Might have actually meant they were getting just enough light and they were doing fine and were praying to the light gods! Pay close attention to the color of the cotyledons (round leaves)... if they start yellowing or just looking lighter in color, lamp might be too close or too intense for the seedling's ability to access nutes in the soil, but not usually the case really with healhy seedlings in a good soil.

doing good so far! Keep it up! Carefull overwatering!

These growcraft lights are very nice...keep in mind it's my first light though. I saved a few bucks with the DIY kits and super easy to setup.

It's the 3 bar mini I have, wrote that incorrect on the OP. I'll try to get some pics of the 2x2 setup. I don't really have plans to flower with it though. I am hoping to get the grow process down to where I can have 2x flowering plants, with 2x late veg. In the 4x4. Then have 2x seedlings/early veg in the 2x2. This way have two plants always in the various stages of growth, in hopes this will provide me with new medicine every couple months.

Good shout on the mosquito bites, I ordered a bag and a couple sheets of the yellow sticky stuff to lay around the pots.

Today is day 7. The seedlings seem to be doing alright, again not much experience to base it off of. I watered day 5 with nutes (see schedule below), but think I may have given them a little too much water. Will post some pics this weekend. They all have their first set of true leaves coming thru.

I am wondering if my temps and humidity are set alright for my current stage of growth. I have it at 75deg/75%RH. When can I turn on my exhaust fan? Currently only have the oscillating fan and one lower vent open.

This is the autopot feed schedule I am using. I wish I still had the original post I found this on, either reddit or on here so I could give them credit. You guys see anything here I should be concerned with?

Im gonna be popping a couple of autoflowers in a few weeks. What do ya'll think about these values for my next grow.. im growing in Mother Earth coco/perlite (50/40%), in autopots (2.2gal) under a Kingbrite 3000k 240W LED.
