New Grower TxRebel 1st grow Gelato from Fastbuds

Hold off on using BK the first few runs. Personally I don't see any need for it. Autos have such a short defined veg period that any problem will effect yield. If not careful, BK will create havoc.

During the first few days I use a spray bottle to wet the soil enough to get it to soak in, got 'em at wally world. The most useful piece of equipment I got was the moisture meter. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Moisture-Light-and-PH-Meter/999989626.

The BK makes it an entirely different line... but if you don't have enough calcium built up in the soil, or if your pH is under 6.5, it'll F you up right now...
it'll when your at 200% of the BK... it makes a massive difference.

BK in the sample kit is pointless, not near enough herculean harvest to use the BK. It takes me 2 gallons of herc to make every 80 day run at those levels.

Thanks and glad I hadn’t planned on getting fancy with that and have held off using any nutes yet. Still only on 9th day since transplanted the jiffy cubes last Monday! Only been misting with ph’d water at like 6.2-6.3 and putting cup over them to trap some humidity since closets only like 30-40% is the high/low my hygrometer shows!
Must be doing something right so far cuz 1 of my 2 the leaves are too big to even put a water bottle dome over it now!

The 2nd one I’ll barely fits under it! Rt
[HASHTAG]#1[/HASHTAG] in left would have to push leaves inside to put it on! Not necessary I think!
Also going to pick my good tent up now so hopefully it’ll hold humidity in better range or will get supplies!

I've got a couple of containers from costo... had red licorice in it. Makes a much larger dome.

If in the above pic on left it looks like it would be safe to push leaves down to get a dome on it let me know or if I should just let it go as is??
Thanks again everyone

Also does that moisture meter actually work and help to tell when it’s dry and needing agau??

Leaves will be fine, you should see the edges of my tent when it's full, leaves jammed up everywhere.

Not sure about the moisture meter, haven't ever played with one.

I have 1 of the basic $7 rapitest soil ph tester but since have good digital 1 and ordering me a tds meter to be here tomorrow I can swap the rapitest for a soil moisture meter if it works. Then don’t have to worry about it. And I have a smart water bottle I can chop when I get home but was on my way out the door to go grab that tent! Glad since only 2x4x5 that it has 2 ft vertical extension and getting it almost brand new for $100!
Hey @Arthur do u know a decent cheapo tds meter off amazon that I can trust? Too many conflicting reviews to trust those!

Tds... actually you'd probably be better getting something that will give an EC. There are 2 scales for ppm, and can cause issues when discussing things. EC is probably more accurate, and I see others using it in discussion.

As far as the moisture meter part, yea. It turned out to be a life saver (well, plant saver) for me.
