New Grower TxRebel 1st grow Gelato from Fastbuds

As far as the moisture meter part, yea. It turned out to be a life saver (well, plant saver) for me.
Thanks buddy, is the one you sent that link for the same 1 u use?? See some people saying they don’t work but also talking shit about some ph pens that I know work so had to be an operator malfunction that happened that caused them to vent or determine that is was the pen broken. I got $28 speed ph20 open box off amazon in carrying case and dead on!

Fastest way to screw up a pH meter is to let it dry out, even once... I bet many of those crap yellow pens fail for that reason.

@TxRebel exact same one, got it at Lowes. Btw, I use HM Digital meters, their least expensive COM-80 and PH-80. After two grows, so far so good. Like @Arthur said, keep the ph meter from drying out and I'll add always check calibration before using them each time.

Ok, you got me beat, I check once a week.

not dry out as in leave it in water?

Yes, but not water, the tip with the bulb is to be stored in solution. I use the 4.0 test solution, in the cap of the meter, if I don't have anything else. Slightly acidic should help keep things clean. I believe it's due to things like calcium in the water drying into a scale on the test bulb.

Ya so far when I have tested it in either 4.0/ 7.0 or even distilled water at ph neutral it’s always dead on or within .1 and haven’t been leaving it soaking but been testing almost daily since used apple cider vinegar and read that it’ll only hold ph down so long before drifting back up so test it to be sure! Gonna return my soil tester kit and swap for soil meter! At least with that I can see what it reads before watering and once it’s saturated so will be able to tell when time to water again!

Hey @Arthur I noticed a problem today!!
The stem isn’t all discolored or anything like it is damping off cuz haven’t watered near enough for that to be an issue but the giant weight from the jumbo leaves on the 1 of my plants has so much weight on little stem it’s causing it to tip over!!
Used 2 pencils as stakes and a fuzzy pipe cleaner as support so is this gonna help til stem gets stockier?? Also is it almost time for nutes that will help strengthen roots and stem?? Please help!! Thanks
