Two in a 5 gal

Long story short, I have two Lemon Pie autos in one pot. Planted second because I thought first one was dug up by critter. The are outside and time is running out. They are almost at fifth node. Honestly not sure there is time for them to finish. Should I kill one, in hopes the last one finishes, or let them go. I don't really want to buy more soil and replant. But I'm open, thanks
