wow, jus read you entire thread....very interesting grow using LED's....I am very interested in these lights, as I want to replace my 150hps i'm currently using in my mini set-up, (2' x 2' space ie; 4sf) that 150 generates wayy to much heat!! was thinking about hooking up a 4" exhaust fan to it to help..(there is an exhaust in there already, jus not hooked up to light.) Anyways I'm really thinking about getting one of those 240w blackstars...would you say its equivelent to a 150?? (think u answerd that already but not sure) I also wanna replace my 600HPS that goes in my big ass tent, (56" x 56", ie; 17sf) I only grow autos so was going to do a AF-SOG qith around 30-40 plants in 2 gal pots..(they are 13.5" deep) So was wondering how many blackstars will be equivelent to my 600hps???? thanks and very nice closet there too bro! one love

i tend to claim for the sake of autos that the wattage the blackstar unit is will be what you can replace with it to a point. if you have beefy plants you will need more lights due to penetration problems inherent with led systems. I will be setting up a flood and drain system soon to support this notion. Each tray will be supported by its own led unit to show true hydro grows with the system and autos. I have everything here to do 2 trays now but will be looking into getting another tent and starting to only use tents now. Hey I might just get back my closet to hang up clothes.... what a concept huh? I will be writing a DIY tutorial to setting up a hydro system on the cheap but still having a good solid system for flood and drain.

Here is my updated grow.





Here is my new hydro setup that cost me under 100 dollars to setup. Holding some pj's till i transplant after the other pj's are harvested that i will show later.






Closeups on some Purple Ladies that are showing some awesome color already at week 4.


All 6 transplanted pj's @ 4 weeks.


3 pj's that i dusted with pollen. They are completely impregnated. Gonna get plenty of seeds.


3 auto assassin at 3 weeks old.










All shots of my pj's at 10 weeks old. Frosty and beefy........

I have the magic touch with those purples and look forward to boosting the nutrients on those and getting lots of buds.
