Keep at it! These lovely ladies we all know and love can try even the bests patience. Make sure you are overly meticulous about PH, in my expereince most of the problems expereinced in canna growing is one of 3 or 4 things PH,Heat,Over Watering and Over feeding. PH being the most common as a lot of other problems stem from PH issues. I check my PH OCD style sometimes 3 or 4 times a day(I do DWC hydro so PH is much more of a factor, but the principles remain the same for soil-Wrong PH=lots of problems.

Yes, over watering and the resulting PH problems has always been my bane, this is my first experience with creepy critters..

When I finally tracked down my ph meter the ph wasn't as bad as the strips indicated, but still not optimal.

I will definitely not give up, but make the necessary adjustments and try again..

get yourself a continuous reading 5-1 ph/temp/EC/PPM/CF meter
Stays in the rez and gives you readings at a glace 24/7
You can totally OCD on the reading anytime you want without have to manually do the test.
I bay the cheapest ones I can find, usually around $100, they last at least a year.
I have one in every rez.

I will have to check them out for sure, atm I am getting suuuper low on funds(aren't we all lol) so I don't think i will be able to get it unitl after harvest but I am going to put it on my short list for upgrades for sure!

as for now I am going to have to get an old skool thermometer to check rez temp and my pen PPM and PH meters for those, oh well it gives me something to do over and over and over again hahaha
