Morning All,

Would appreciate your opinions if you don't mind?

I am currently on Day 54 growing 2 x StarRyders SCROG in a little 80x100x45 stealth grow cab using organic, amended "water/tea only live soil" under 2 Hans Panel LED lights 20/4. They are going great and from what I can tell I've two different pheno's. One is longer in the stem and the bud activity is looking great and mostly above the scrog screen. The other is far squatter and although the main buds are 1" above the screen there is a lot of bud activity below the screen getting very minimal light.

Here is a photo to give you an idea of how dense the "jungle" is! Please ignore the damaged leaf on left, it's been touching the tube heater I'm running to keep temps a fairly constant 21c and 50%(ish) Humidity.

I've two small USB fans working 24/7 to keep the air moving, one above the other below the canopy. In such a tight space I'm always concerned about mold setting in towards the end of flowering as I've been bitten once before so how would you guys approach this?

Would you trim back the smaller "popcorn" underneath to allow more air movement through the "jungle" and reduce risk of the nasty M, or just let them run as is and hope for the best ? The smaller buds underneath are all pistil's and no calyx at this stage but I expect this particular plant to run 80+ days. Alternatively I could remove some of the fan leaves above the canopy to allow both air and light below the screen? It's a new one on me as I've never really had to trim below the screen too heavily to date only to tidied things up a bit.

I can post some better photos this evening when I get home.

Other than this possible issue these Star's have been so easy to grow!

Any advice or help you've got to offer would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Stay lucky

I grow in a 3x3 tent and I don't do a whole lot of trimming but I cram plants in the sometimes when I probably shouldn. To help combat the mold I have 3 6 inch fans. 2 in the canopy at different heights and angles and 1 in the bottom blowing up. This helps to keep everything moving and hopefully no mold. I make sure to keep them rotated and off wall but you obviously can't do the in a scrog..... best of luck brother

Thanks A-Train, appreciate it. I've a 6" somewhere that I could put underneath blowing upwards but it will be tight and loud!!

if you could get a little dehumidifier that would surely help... anyway you can keep humidity down.. what is your humidity?

Hi Ripper,

Thanks, it's sitting around 50%. I do have a small dehumidifier but the problem is my fan extracts the air faster than the dehumidifier can strip moisture. Due to passive intake the humidity sits at the houses ambient level.

50% is a little high.. do you have the dehumidifier in it?

Thanks Rip, I've not got it running at the minute buddy as it makes zero difference. I could turn up the heater and so lower the humidity but it suffers from the same issue the dehumidifier does, too much extraction! Sadly the extractor fan I'm running isn't compatible with a fan speed controller so I'm stuck for now.

well do what you can... I ran a heater outside my tent and blew it at the tent and this helped to lower humidity.

This is just my experience. But I trim the hell out of some leaves if it's blocking a bud site it's clipped. I would personally remove a lot of those popcorns. But again that's just me.
