Hey Forum,
Alaska has legalized recreational marijuana. So hot damn!Hop digityI'm going to grow it everywhere. Right now, it's in my grow tent. And once the snow clears, it will be in my greenhouse, in the kitchen window, in the flower garden; wherever I have some room.

Right now I'm growing several LowBerry plants, which are a Joint Doctor Lowryder and a Dutch Passion Blueberry cross by Dutchbreed. Take a moment and do a search for LowBerry on the Internet, and look at the picture of the plant. It's just one straight cola, with nothing else! :jaw:I've never seen a plant growing like that. So here's my question: how do I prune the LowBerry to look like that? Yes, I realize I may get a lower yield, but who cares, since it's legal, and I'm growing it all over the place:grin:
Thanks for any help you might provide!

I applaud your enthusiasm, but it is not legal for a few more weeks, mate! Then there are the laws they have to write. Right now LEO isnt arresting you, unless you are a tokin outside. Which, it is almost too cold to stand outside and blaze at the moment. There are several strains, that are one cola wonders. You can take a huge side branched monster of a plant, throw it in a smaller container and limit it's branching too. Genetics play a large part in its overall structure. Check out The Attitude Seedbank and take a stroll through its autoflowers and descriptions. You will find several genetics that are indeed single cola, short plants. From one Alaskan to another, I would still be cautious of neighbors, with window grows and the like. That begs to be busted and stolen from. Read todays paper in the Daily News, there are 2 articles in it, pertaining to the timeline of when and how much you can grow. I would be careful. Not tryin to pop your canna balloon, but I would err on the sid eof caution.

It is Legal on Feb. 24th. Then, the Alcohol Control Board will have 9 months to come up with the regulations.

I will be keeping mine out of the window for now but it is so exciting to know you won't have to worry about it soon.

And there seems to be alot of politicians that are scheming to put a wrench in the whole thing!!! But we will see.

Yes, I'll be more careful than my post seemed to indicate. I read the regs a while back, and it's not just a pot free-for-all. From what I remember, plants in the house are not allowed to be seen from outside with the naked eye, and one has to keep plants in a secured location. So growing in the yard still must be stealth, since it's not secure if a kid can jump in your yard. The greenhouse is good, as one can't see what's growing from outside, and I can put a lock on the door. The grow tent is good of course, even if I hold the policemen's ball at my place (that's probably not gonna happen). The kitchen window is good, since it can't be seen from the street.... Anyway, I'm glad I was here to see the historic legalization. It's pretty exciting.

Im excited for you guys. Every state that legalizes in any way is a step in the right direction.

It will be just a matter of time before the US voters can get enough of the states to legalize the herb and have this cherished plant rescheduled as a safer alternative medicine than the other forms of medicine out there that may be more harmful to the body than what is produced from a plant.

Well, on the surface, when the voting ballot came up, it was to "regulate" marijuana. In Alaska, it had already been decriminalized. You could grow up to 24 plants in your own house, smoke in your own house. When I saw "regulate," I wasn't thrilled because that meant the government would get their hand in it, and that's ALWAYS a mess. What doesn't the government mess up? So here we are, it's legal, but now we can only grow 6 plants, I think no more than 3 or 4 in flower, and an ounce or under in your home. So we are now MORE limited in some ways. However, we can now transport up to an ounce, give away under an ounce, transport 6 plants and give plants to friends. Anyway, pretty cool for the most part, but.... freakin' government
