I have some Lowryder #2 that is about 3 1/2 weeks out from harvest. What sort of trimming would anyone recommend to help augment bud growth? This is my first autoflower grow and it is indoor.

I would reccomend fan leaf tucking... those leafs still hold some stored energy I think....if i m wrong I will be corrected, hope this helps

That makes a lot of sense TBM, i looked up some youtube videos for Autoflower tucking, simple enough, trying it out right now. I will let you know how it goes :)

trim only the larger meduim fan leaves that are covering buds or buds on other plants, i started with low 2,s some trim far too much, but the big fan leaves helps the plant to produce sugars which results in a better plant, trim any low ones not near bud, brown or burnt ones and any in the way of bud or other plants, always leave as much as possible, and check and trim at least once a week as they will grow and more leaves may cover, the trick is leave the smaller and med leaves unless brown or burnt, and only take off what is in way of buds or other plants, the more you leave the better the result, but i usually do a small small trim each week, when they only have a week or so left, then take all the large/medium leaves with NO crystal, leaving just the small ones in the bud, this helps the light get right in for the last week, but till then, keep as many as you can, you wouldnt remove your lungs so dont your plants, just those in way!

I wouldn't recommend removing any big fan leaves, just tuck them. In the final two weeks the plant will draw from the energy stored in those fan leaves for the final bud fattening. IMO removing those leaves takes away from your final yield.

That makes some good sense Muddy. I do trim the dead or yellowing foliage when I see it. My grow so far i have only really needed to take of the initial cotyledons that browned up. Once the flowering is in full tilt should i trim any foliage turning yellow or should i just take that as the plant sucking energy for the bud and leave it alone?
