So how much trimming do people do during there grow? Stuff like all those low down fine branches that done really give much or if you have a very leafy dense plant taking out fan leaves. Does this shock the plant to much or does it help to make the good bits better?

Tuck vs trim is my method at the moment indoors, outside I would agree with trimming. I like to trim the fan leaf branching towards the center of the plants covering bud nodes. A slight LST and look down from above your plants to see what light is getting in. Good thread should get some nice replies.

I would say tuck over trim..... depending on your strain Photo plants are normally more resilient to trimming due to the longer life cycle auto's dont have have the life span and trimming would trigger some sort of shock and by time your plant recovers it has done more harm then good on your short lived Girl.... so i would tuck and let her do her thing

Agreed! :pop:

I prefer LST and tucking the big fan leafs underneath the small bud sites. Fan leafs are big solar panels and sugar factories, that come into play in the last weeks of flowering! I think they're very important.

I'll remove some lower fan leaves that might be touching the soil and maybe some of the lower popcorn close in to the main stalk as they never produce much. I do this more to increase air flow to the lower part of the plant and the soil. I like the top layer of soil to dry out quickly, discourages fungus gnats.

I have read of people using a 1/2'' layer of sand for fungus gnats i might use this method next grow
