Outdoor trailanimals 2018 grows

By moving pots around I can harvest 7.5 hours of direct sun, autocob runs 9 hrs leading up to Sola's blaze. and even when sun isn't directly shinning in, snow reflectance is still pumping lots of light

High trailanimal,

I did 3 years in Alaska, where 4 hrs of sunlight (9:30-1:30). I was so young, and didn't mind then. Now, I'm glad I'm not there. Long days - 24/7 for awhile. Don't know how it was down on the coast.
Short season would be very challenging. Anything screws up, may not get a harvest. No thanks. Now I'm on 44th parallel and I'm growing some auto's this summer, just hoping to have bud mature on the stalk before budrot sets in. I'm guessing you don't get much budrot up there.

66.5 N, interior location. can be blazing sun and hot, or cold cloudy and wet. If cold cloudy and wet at end of season bud rot is a BIG problem. Last season, a season from hell, out of 17 fems only 3 made it through without BR.

It doesn't look as deep, is that the compacting? That's interesting looks heavy:eyebrows:
actually was deeper!, just had a couple of days of high E wind and there was still enough loose snow to blow, hard to get a good read of depth from pic. No loose snow now, and daytime temps will be above freezing, ready for some melt. Boat is buried as is the 4 wheeler. Need to dig boat out soon and get it hauled up outta the bottom. Big stash of firewood needs to be brought in too, before break-up. Lots to do, but all that sun has me pretty energized
