Toothache, Headache and Sore Throat Remedy

Never knew that. Makes sence as does the Charmevex, my wifes name for the tincture with the marihuana.

chewing on the roots of the cannabis plants was the standard remedy for toothache in the ancient cannabis growing culture of china.

.. just a sidenote :D

OK Wiz. Why the chilies? Do you mean like chili peppers chillies?

Good to know.

BOMBUDZ is a practicing herbalist..might be worth asking if he has any Specials...

Gonna work on some Canna/chilli salves myself this year..help the nerve pain sufferers.

Yeah chilli peppers Nelson.

Zacin..chilli derivitve..was the only cream that made a difference to me with my nerve damage.

It worked..but it is expensive..soooo..time for a DIY job....:D

My Mom is due a double hip transplant reversal..she has the same kind of nerve damage I have..

I Need something I can post to her that will Help...:wiz:

Zacin cream contains the active ingredient capsaicin, which is the substance found naturally in red chilli peppers that gives them their heat. The cream is applied to the skin to relieve pain associated with osteoarthritis.
Capsaicin works by desensitising nerve cells to pain. It does this by binding to sensory receptors called nociceptors that are found at the end of the nerves. When stimulated, these receptors normally send nerve signals to the spinal cord and brain that result in the perception of pain. When capsaicin binds to these pain receptors it initially causes a painful burning sensation. However, with continued application of the capsaicin, the pain receptors become overloaded and desensitised and this makes them less responsive to painful stimulation. This relieves the pain.

Thanks Wiz. Is there some kind of chili pepper seed that works better than others? How do you make it? I can turn all this info over to my junior witch wife and she can experiment. I am so getting to be a comvert to these concocktions that seem to work better than medice from the drugist.

Honest opinion..just gonna say the Hottest one you can get..from experience it just seems to burn the nerve pain out..

but..

phree has sent me some chillies to Experiment with..so I'll tell you better after I have played with them.

If I find the perfect one..I will ship you some...

I have a bit of a worry with the fact they only specify red chilli..coz it means even if it is effective it is gonna Stain like chuff....which might prove a problem.

I have found a White chilli in a seed store that is high on the Hot factor..so I Think I might order some and see...white would be better if we could get the same effect.

I was experimenting with canna only salve..and it worked Quite well on moderate nerve pain in my shoulders and neck..
which would be useful for things like the tooth-ache etc..
but
it wouldn't ward off a full blown nerve pain attack..so I Thought if we could combine the canna salve with the effect from the chilli extract..we might get there...

When I got it on prescription it was supposed to be about £100 per tube..so it will be out of reach for a lot of people..
especially long term sickies..so a DIY job is needed..:D

More ways to Grow your own Meds...:wiz:

You go Wiz. Great stuff. My wife will be so interested in this. I was telling her about it this morning. She already new about capacin being good for arthretic conditions. She loves when I get her a recipe off the line for her to try. If I get a good one like this maybe coffee in bed and a _____ ____. (censored by the moderators). He he.

I grow more chili peppers than pot and I have to say be careful. You could get addicted to it. :D
Fellow chili grower uses habanero oil for chronical pain in his back. He just put em in the blender and pours canola oil on top of them and sieve the oil in the spray bottle. If you dry the peppers before using em, oil will stay fresh much longer (forever). Use nitrile gloves when handling large amount of chilies. Capsaisin is fat soluble so you cant get it off your hands easily, and trust me it's not funny to get that stuf on your eye or eaven worse think what happens when you go to bathroom to ease your sef. :hot:
Wiz mentioned using white peppers to avoid stains. This might be a good idea since peppers are also used to make a red color. White bullet habanero would be good because it's quite hot and colorless and also very good as a spice. Smoked habanero flakes the best spice ever.

Can you put some numbers on your recipe? I take it after you grind em up you have to filter it or the spray bottle won't clog up? any heat involved.
