Grow Mediums Too big?

I've grown 7ft plants in a 6.5ft tent using 5 gallon auto pots....... you want smaller pots in that size tent. 3 gallon would be about perfect for hempy and your still going to grow some big plants. Training is a must!
Ya. You see the monster I have now just in a fabric pot. It is causing logistics issues. I'm building stands of various heights for all of my other pots just because of her.

You can't get much simpler than auto pots, except for hand watering ( YUCK! ) I've been running mine almost 4 years and love them! actually thinking about buying the 2.2 gallon pots to replace the 5 gal. I'm seeing higher yields running 6 smaller pots vs 4 large.

I’m going to look into those.
*edit*
Looked into those.
Too much work for my lazy @$$ lmao.View attachment 1183664

What Autopot are you using or is it DIY?

Shouldn't have mentioned "hempy bucket"
Now everyone is thinking hydro

You just want to make your own "self-watering" or sub-irrigated-planter,
Call upon a couple earthboxers...

Edit: oops, just realized this is in the hydro section too:goodluck:
SIPs are intended for Organic growing. Ypu can Automate them if you want. Otherwise handwatering the rez daily is typical. Also, with Autos and Coco, I find thst frequent feedings on smaller pots of STRAIGHT Covonis superior to larger pots with Perlite. It is unneccessary and using a 2 gal pot of strsigjt coco will grow just as large of a plant than a 5 gal with Perlite. Feeding multiple times per day in Coco is superior to using larger pots with less frequent waterings. For yields, Coco is amazing. For Quality, 100% Organic SIPs beat most every other form of growing for ease of use snd superior end product. Proper timing on top dressing quality Organic Soil SIPs is the most important part. You have to plan ahead vs feeding Coco daily nutes. Each method has its advantages and disadvantages. For personal use, I choose my Organic buds over my Coco buds a vast majority of the time. But I press Rosin a lot, so strain choice is also important for Rosin yields and quality. Peace, slow

Ya I'm in coco/pearlite "living soil" orgsnic...
I just planted a Six Shooter in a 3 gallon. 1st time using a small pot. I will water 2x a day as often as possible. Interested to see how she goes.

I too love mine.
BUT.
For some reason, ONE of my three valves always floods, No matter what.

...which is why I have three aquavalves.
That’s the only issue I’ve ever had. This last round of using my autopots netted me 13.5 or so oz.

Ya man I’d say if u want a good working SIP container bust out a $20 bill and buy an earthbox junior! Also the deeper u make the soil the harder it is for the soil to wick it up towards the surface! And if u do with a drip line going into the top tou aren’t using a sip container! SIP= sub irrigated planted! If u drop from the top u aren’t sub irrigating anything! U r just drip feeding which u can do in any pot without all that work!!

Also I’ve never used coco but someone was talking about it yesterday and said they water 2X a day in veg and up to 5 a day in flower! :pighug:

You know, though it doesn't seem it, you can take those valves completely apart. You either have a sticking pivot, or you need to replace that little silicone dot. Also, does it seat completely? it's one of the three issues, there is nothing else that can cause that. I suspect the silicone myself

I too love mine.
