Outdoor Tips for growing outside

Cannabis has a pretty high demand for nutrients for optimum production. They will grow just about anywhere like a true weed but what we want is an agricultural product. If your close to pine trees using a contained soil will help with pH. Checking the soil pH will let you know. May be wrong but the needles are what changes pH. The further from the tree the less the soil should be effected. Theres usually a line around them here where the needles end and grass/weeds start growing.

Only tip i can give for an outside grow is to NOT USE bone or blood meal and stuff like fish fertilizer.

This is a sure fire way to get your plants dug up by scavengers like racoons etc

if your anywhere near the pine barrens like i am u absolutly must keep an eye on the ph. i no around me its rediculous how acidic the soil is i have thought about growing outdoors as well with all the photo seeds i have obtained from orders in the past. i thought about this thoroughly (dono if thats spelt correct or not im lit) and i have come to the concluon that if i ever do decide to grow out doors i will start the plants in a predetermind soil in say a 3 gallon pot and then cut the pot away when the 5th set of leaves appears dig a hole the same size as the 3 gallon pot and trans plant the contained soil into the ground. that way by time the plants roots touch the natrual soil it is big enough to handle the elements that exist subsoil . just my take on it any way as the soil around me is absolutly abusive to all types of plants.

anyways good luck to you and your grow i hope it all works out for ya

Thanks for your posts guys. It really cool.

I have decided to go with the bag either way. But i think that the planting will be later in a week or two. We got a little bit of snow here that melted right away, but either way. It´s snow. The temp in the air is about 5-10 degrees celcius, but i am hopeful that the weather is going to better soon. :)

Usually at may 1st it is green leaves on the trees, and the lawn is green. But the good weather is a little bit late this year. I am planning to transplant them outside in 20 days. And my 6 seedlings are 8-9 days old, and they probably have a stable rootsystem and start to shoot up now.

When should i start the others? I have 6 Annapurnas, 3 Number 1´s, 3 Purple Mazars and 3 Auto Blueberrys. Plus these 6 seedlings. It is probably best to start all of them the same time. In a 5 days i am planning. The only problem is that i don´t have the room for them.

/H.

If the soul has low pH it needs to be adjusted. The soil buried will work for a little while but eventually its pH will also lower making nutrient unavailable and cause havoc with the plants. Using something like dolomite lime may help.

For starting it depends on how long you want to keep them inside/how big you want them to go out. With photos the earlier you start the bigger the harvest. Autos kinda when you want to harvest.

Personally I always mix a lot of dolomite lime in anyway, it's not just for ph adjusting, it's also a great source of cal/mag. I dig holes and amend the native soil with no barriers, bags, ect. I don't see an advantage to restricting root space or stopping the roots from searching deeper for water. I've heard dwarf auto's don't do that well in the ground but that anything from an MI5 on up turns beast outdoors.
