I believe I have the misfortune of thrips and was wondering what the best course of action would be? My plants are under 2 weeks old, and I’ve just started some small cups in my tent as well with a few sprouted already and the rest should pop in the next day or so. Can anybody share their success stories? My thanks in advance

Lol! Awesome! Had a look in the reference section- it was early in the morning and I was getting ready for work when I posted so my brain wasn’t all there! Lol. By the time I got to work my brain was working and came to the logical conclusion to check the reference section and of course afn being the awesome site that it is there was a very helpful post in the stickies. Thanks afn

Lol I didnt know the answer and that was my best ideal lol. But hopefully you eradicate the little bastards.

Closing up the tent with one or more No-Pest Strips will kill any air-exposed (surface and flying) insects. Just make sure not to breath-in the stuff, let your tent exhaust the vapor. Unlike liquids or powders, the No-Pest Strip's pesticide, although rather nasty, is a vapor and doesn't leave any residue, is not absorbed by the plant, etc. And since it is always best to attack insects using multiple methods, consider treating your plants (before flowers develop) with a pyrethrin, Spinosad or other 'natural' quick-action insecticide, and/or a neem-based product for longer-term inhibition.

Thank you for the suggestion. I think I’ll definitely give that a try... out of curiosity, do you know how long before it’s “safe”to open the tent/ be in there to water etc?

I presume it is 'safe' when you no longer smell it.

I just open a window in the room with the tent, and one in another room to get good ventilation, then fully open the tent and blow everything out the window for 10-20 minutes. Otherwise just let the tent run on automatic, presuming it exhausts to the outside or any indoors exhaust is charcoal filtered, for as long as it takes.

Thanks. I’ll pay a visit to my local shop tomorrow to pick up what’s needed
