Ok so I have been commenting and cruising around looking for info about thunder bloody mary and after getting a little input on my grow I figured what the hell, I'll start my own grow log...I feel so official.

So here's the setup, I have a 4 foot tall, 2 foot wide and 2 foot long grow box made out of plywood, lined with some reflective insulation I got at the hardware store. I am running on all cfl, daylight for veg and soft white for flowering, I am running 5 daylight cfl bulbs at 27 watts each, bringing the grand total to....dunt da da duh...135 watts! I have her in a 2 gallon planting pot and I cut a hole in the door of the box and in the ceiling of it for a passive intake and exhaust. I have a small fan inside to keep the air flowing.

Ok so to germinate I just dropped the seed into FFOF soil and watered it, and on october 1st she poked through the dirt. After a few days she got some crispy tips on her as you can see in the pics, not really sure what caused it, maybe the FFOF was just a little too hot, but she recovered pretty well and is now growing fine.

I have been giving her nutes since day 14 and I'm using Fox Farm Grow Big at 1/4 strength and eventually got it up to the full dose. I will put her on tiger bloom for a week after she starts flowering and then big bloom for the duration.

She seems to be growing healthy, but growing slowly. At day 29 she stands at only 4 1/2 inches.

This is my first grow and I ordered blackberry and wild thailand strains and got this thunder bloody mary and a holy grail 69 seed free. After doing a little research on the autoflowers I decided it was worth it to give it a go...so I did...and I am. I am going to grow the blackberry next so if anyone has grown it before, let me know how it went.

I am only going to grow one plant at a time, I'm only doing it for personal use and really as kind of a hobby...a hobby that gets me stoned is the best kind. Plus there is just something cool and satisfying about growing your own stuff.

So here we go...I started this grow journal today at day 29 so check out the progress thus far and all input is appreciated. I know its not the most amazing setup but I think its pretty decent for just a recreational grower.

So my main question is why is she so small still? could be the genes, could be something I'm doing... any ideas?

Oh yea, I haven't been able to find any smoke reports on thunder bloody mary, so if anyone has tried it let me know about it.

Thanks for the grow log.
I really like the fact that you named the pictures by number as to how old it is.
I may not comment much on the grow, but I am definitely watching it.
Good Luck!

Day 30 and moving along

Ok so it's day 30 today and the little TBM is going strong, still on the small side but I've got BIG hopes for her. She's still hanging around 4-5 inches in height but she's getting a little wider, a little bushier and I'm guessing she's gonna pop into flowering this week, at least that's what I'm hoping for. I thought she would have been there by now seeing as she is an autoflower but nature has it's own plan. I'd like her to get to 6 or 7 inches when she hits flower and then double to at least a foot in size, yielding close to an ounce.... hey what can I say, I think ambitiously! But whatever she gives me I'll enjoy especially because its my first grow. So I've included some more pics, one of my setup and a few of the progress. Stay tuned, I'm really shooting at posting every couple days and staying vigilante about this thread because I know how much I appreciate a good, thorough, well maintained thread so it's only natural that I reciprocate that. Thanks and welcome to all who are pulling up a chair and feel free to jump in with any comments, ideas, criticisms or thoughts.

Nice! Sub'd We have very similar setups. I bet it'll be blasting of any day now.

Day 32, could be looking better...

So it's day 32 and we're hovering right under 5 inches but she has developed yellow/brown spots on some of her leaves, I'm not sure if it's heat burn or nute burn or lack of nutes. I did a little research and it looks like lack of nutes, so I gave her a dose of tiger bloom just a little bit ago and moved the lights up just a little bit, I'll check on her every couple hours to see if it helps. Take a look at the pics and if anyone can give me any insight or advice on what the problem is please let me know how to remedy it. Hopefully I can get her straightened out and help her recover. Thoughts???

any idea what your soil ph is? or what ph water you've been watering / feeding with?

looks like calcium / magnesium or phosphorus deff.... could be defficiency... or could be ph out of whack...

Hmm why is that plant so small after 32 days? Theres most be something wrong somewhere...

so just checked ph on the runoff and the watering I'm using to feed it and they are both a little higher than 7, so what is the best way to get it down a little bit? I know I have to make it more acidic but any recommendations to do that the most efficient way? and the temperature in my grow box was WAY too high, low 90's. after I added those extra lights it must have gone up a bit. I cranked the fan up and made my intake hole bigger to get more air flowing through it, got the temp down to high 80's pretty quickly so I'll check it again in a bit and hopefully get it down into the 70's or low 80's. Rookie mistakes I know, but it's a learning process so hopefully I can still recover and get this grow back on track. Any thoughts on all this???
