Grow setup/environment
  • 8x8 tent
  • Inline fans for fresh in and exhaust out.
  • Autopots cut down to 60% of stock size. Air domes.
  • Rehydrated Canna coco bricks. Coco amended with 10% perlite, 10% biochar , 10% worm castings, baking flour, Diatomaceous Earth, mosquito dunks, mycorrhizae on roots.
  • Hybrid lighting with 6 x Autocobs and 2 x 600 watt HPS lights.

Nutes and supplementals
I’m using Tangs easy schedule. AN Sensi A+B Perfect PH, Carboload, Overdrive and supplemented with Remo Calmag, Growtek Silica at ¼ dose so I don’t screw up the PH. Also Optic Foliar spraying a couple of times per week. Mammoth P but my supply is running low and I can't get any more. H&G Drip Clean.

Week 1
Both seeds germinated fast in lightly misted tissue in ziplock bag and insulated in a towel and placed on top of a seed starter heat mat. Dropped tap roots in to solo cups that were setup for minimal bottom feeding/watering. Both taproots sprouted above ground on Jan 25th. So 6 days old now.

Think Different roots hit the sides and bottoms of the cup so it was transplanted to its autopot today. Will hand water for a couple of weeks and then put on the autopot res and airdome.

Cinderella Jack sprouted the same day but it is much smaller and slower growing. Will keep it until I get it in an autopot and see how it recovers/goes. It might be culled out if it does not smarten up and get its ass in gear.

Good luck bro, I will be watching! Could be the DE, but looks like your Coco could be a bit Moist. Gentle breeze might help dry the surface up a little bit. You would be surprised at how much moisture level can effect root development. They will do fine once the Coco is drying out often. Good luck!

It is moist but not soaking. Its partly the biochar and partly the worm castings. Going to leave that Think Different for a couple of days to dry out and hopefully egt some decent root development. We'll see if the Cindy Jack makes the cut or not. She is so slow, Slow.

Looks like this grow has all the ingredients to become successful.
Do i understand this correct? You will be using 2x600w hps plus 6 autocobs for just these 2 girls? Say yes.:pop:

Ha. Sadly that is not true. And hell BigSmO now says keep it to one autcob per average sized plant for best quality bud.

The way my lighting works is I have straight line of two 600 watts lights in cooltubes going down the center of the tent connected with ducting. When its cold out I don't aircool the lights thru the exhausting system. When it gets warmer I will air cool. When its summer, the HPS light are going to be off. I and usually have two flowering plants under each HPS light, one on each side of a light. Then we have 6 autocobs that I move around to where they are needed. Usually 3 on one side of the HPS line, 3 on the other side.

I generally have 6 plants in the tent so each girl gets an autcob each and also some portion of HPS light too. Its a flexible setup.

Day 11/12

The Cindy Jack did not make it. She did not grow at all in the cup after she sprouted.

Think Different is well though. I'm a new grower and I'm working my way through the best way to transition from a germed tap root to the cups and then to the pots. The mix of coco and biochar and EWC did not have enough perlite in it and was a bit heavy and dense and did not drain as well as pure coco. Also learning about patience and I should have kept the TD in the cup for a few more days before transplanting. So the medium in the autopot was a bit too moist and too dense for roots to get down. And I transplanted too early. I did some top tilling and aerating the medium with a probe. Also turned on the air dome. The plant has responded to that and is growing more now. But the early issues/wrinkles did slow her down a couple of days.

She does look to be on the lighter side of green.
