Hmmmm, well there is nothing wrong with having lots of drainage sites at the bottom of your pot , but if your suggesting drilling holes up and down the pot i would suggest no, you’ll just end up with a wet floor , the airports have a unique design that can’t really be replicated with a drill. Well pal you come to the right place to find all the help and knowledge you need, my advice would be read lots of grow threads and try and replicate the successful ones that match your set up.

Hairyman , I drilled holes in my pots [ 20 ltr] and don't have problems with water coming out and that's with 1 1/2 ltr feeds , I do get a little but not enough to worry about , I used a 10mm spade bit till I figured a soldering iron was faster .

All round the fields of Anfield Road,
Where once we watched the king Kenny play (and could he play),
Stevie Heighway on the wing,
We had dreams and songs to sing,
Of the glory round the fields of Anfield Road.

:)

Once a jolly swagman sat beside the billabong,
Under the shade of a coulibah tree,
And he sang as he sat and waited till his billy boiled:Chorus:
Who'll come a waltzing matilda with me
Waltzing matilda, waltzing matilda
Who'll come a waltzing matilda with me
And he sang as he sat and waited by the billabong
Who'll come a waltzing matilda with me.
2. Down came a jumbuck to drink beside the billabong
Up jumped the swagman and seized him with glee
And he sang as he tucked the jumbuck in his tuckerbag
Chorus:
You'll come a waltzing matilda with me
Waltzing matilda, waltzing matilda
You'll come a waltzing matilda with me
And he sang as he tucked the jumbuck in his tuckerbag
You'll come a waltzing matilda with me.
3. Down came the stockman, riding on his thoroughbred,
Down came the troopers, one, two, three.
"Where's that jolly jumbuck you've got in your tuckerbag?
Chorus:
You'll come a waltzing matilda with me
Waltzing matilda, waltzing matilda
You'll come a waltzing matilda with me
Where's that jolly jumbuck you've got in your tuckerbag?
You'll come a waltzing matilda with me.
4. Up jumped the swagman and plunged into the billabong,
"You'll never catch me alive," cried he
And his ghost may be heard as you ride beside the billabong,
Chorus:
Who'll come a waltzing matilda with me
Waltzing matilda, waltzing matilda
Who'll come a waltzing matilda with me
And his ghost may be heard as you ride beside the billabong,
Who'll come a waltzing matilda with me.

Hey Steelrat, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up when i read those words.
