Hexeract thanks that great info , I already happen to have a clear storage container , but would it be a good idea being so close to harvest ??

sure why not? It's better than letting them get eaten up or harvesting too early. If it wasn't so close to harvest you could just spray with azamax, but i don't think you'll want that flavor on buds at this point.

You could also try predatory mites. But no the same time as lady bugs, cause lady bugs would eat them.

Good to be back
I harvested and dried my Northern Blue
She's sitting in a canning jar now
Smells like dried plant matter now not how she smelled before harvest
This also happened with the purple express

Yeah, sounds like it dried too quickly if it has that hey like smell to it. Had that myself once or twice and it quite sucks. Air that's too dry or high temperatures might do that.
A easiest way to make your bud dry slower is IMO to leave more leaves on the branches and don't cut off sugar leaves before drying. In a very dry place you could even hang the whole plant to dry to make the process take longer.
The other way would be make some kind of room that's perfect for drying, but that could be costly and take some work. Wouldn't be the first thing I'd try anyway.
Hope to have helped a bit :toke:

reedroguez thanks , yeah its pretty hot out here in cali & i did hang dry the whole plant
i need to figure something out , i have another harvest coming up in the next few days

Yeah, can't really hang more than the whole plant can you? :P
I don't really know how to deal with the awesome kind of weather you guys get over there, but I guess a humidifier would do wonders. Maybe even some buckets of water even to let evaporate in your drying space could be enough. rh% should be around 60 ideally.
I hope maybe someone with more hot/dry weather experience can chime in here.

Btw I forget to mention that if you just keep on curing the Northern Blue it should get better. Maybe you don't loose all that hey smell, but the cure should lessen it at least.
