@budelee

I managed to get ahold of Amazon this morning after looking up the info you posted.
Just in thr nick of time, I was able to cancel the nute order part, and grab a bag of the maxigrow instead.
I then spent $10.00 at local garden section on a 5lb bag of Calcium Nitrate, and a 4lb carton of epsom salts, and saved about $30.00 in the process!

Thanks again.
Awesome bro!! Simple and easy,did you say u are in coco?? I usually start at a low ppm and work my way up,but with the lights you plan on using you may need to adjust ppm upwards..when i had my autos in full sunlight i was able to feed at 14-1600 ppm..i would recommend a ppm meter and a ph pen if you can spring for them,they are invaluable

@Sideshow Looks like you have a great head start on your first grow. :thumbsup: One item I didn't see on your order was odor control stuff. I'm a few weeks from harvest on my first grow and thought I could get away with not buying a carbon filter, boy was I wrong. I'm growing in my garage with a rather "low odor" strain, northern lights, 1 plant flowering made not only my entire garage smell but my entire downstairs of my house. My wife would have assassinated my project without the filter. Just a heads up bro. Happy growing and welcome to AFN.

@Seabass

Thanks for the input!

I have a filter setup ( 4" 120cfm inline and a filter ) on my next order in 2 weeks.
figured i could hold off a month that expense, while the plants were still stretchin!

the next order is filters, meters, tent, and third light rig.

Wow. Nice research into doing things correct on the first go 'round! To see the hideous type of atrocity occurs without research, check out my grow :crying: but in all seriousness, good work, also the find on cheaper ways to get your cal/mag supplements

@XxxAuto also did a lot of research prior to his first grow, and his first plant was a MONSTER! [emoji106] [emoji16] [emoji76] [emoji7] [emoji178]

You're definitely on the right path. [emoji6] [emoji121]

May need a bigger filter setup your two 300 watt LEDs probably use about 200 actual watts per light. Or put another way 400 heat watts. Then if you add a third, I think that was your plan, you'll be up around 600 watts. Usually you would want a minimum of a 5 inch system with 600 watts and I'd personally run a six inch so I can keep it throttled down and quieter.

Put another way a 4 inch will probably run full blast and have trouble cooling things on hot days a five would probably suit most people and could run at slower speeds sometimes and full out sometimes. A six would probably never run full out and would a good fit if you get a bigger tent.

Just stuff to think about

Thanks for the input everyone!

about the wattage, they pull 120w actual, so with three it will be 360w total.

100cfm will pull 2x tent volume per minute. I figured that is more then enough air movement for even 600w of heat, with a house kept at 68 year round. and 65 in the room during summer. However the filter is for scent, not heat.

Reading many of those threads with heat issues, the growers also need to take into consideration tent placement. Mine is in a 20x15 bedroom, with more then 3x its volume in space around it. This setup is replacing a tomato and pepper wardrobe, that never had temp issues using incandescent grow lights seasons past, and it was solid wood without vents.
I do understand though how the fans may need increase with more lights. i planned on a 6" upgrade if i do double 600w on second go around with autopots

So I decided to order a 39*39*78 instead of the 4*2
l

Took advice above and also ordered a 240cfm 6" duct fan and charcoal filter.

Ordered 2x more 300w LED rigs. Trying another brand with different lighting to broaden certain frequencies with first pair.

speed controller, ph pen, small fan, and liytle cheap 5w speakers to pump endless classical music of Bach, Tchaikovsky, etc.. into the tent.
So Ill have approx 560ish real wattage.

Feb 1......tick tock....can't wait
