Dutch Passion The return of BillyWu - DP Think Different DWC Hydroponics

After a little bit of extra maths, I've calculated the minimum and maximum weights I will get. My previous auto White Widow weighed 580g wet on the scales and I got 156g when it was bone dry with no stalks attached. That's 26.4% dry.

If I aim to work out my LOWEST possible yield (15% dry weight), it will be 15% of 780g = 117g.
If I aim to work out my low - average possible yield (20% dry weight), it will be 20% of 780g = 156g
If it is bone dry like the White Widow and has an average of 26.4% dry weight, it will be 26.4% of 780g = 202.8g

So my end yield is going to be anything from 117g to 202.8g dry, ranging from 15% to 26.4% dry weight.

I think this might actually be my best plant ever :) And 180-200g seems like a realistic estimate I think. Some of these buds weigh an awful lot.

That will keep you going for a while and TD is wicked smoke as she cures. Iam smoking it as I type

Day 69 update

Harvest day
The day is finally here! After a long absence of not posting my updates, I've arrived at harvest day :) I don't do many updates these days as usually things are the same throughout my grows.

I've had a very pleasing result. The weight of the tray I was weighing my buds on was 140g. The total weight including all the buds and the tray was 920g. Do the maths and I get 780g of fresh bud and if I use 15% and 20% as my dry weight approximate ranges, then I'm on for approximately 117g - 156g dry if I'm aiming on the very lowest side. That's as much as my two best plants and it could actually turn out to be more than 156g! I'll let it dry for a week and a half minimum before looking at dry weight again. I know I haven't got the best method for weighing in the world, but I think it's fairly accurate :)

I've had two gigantic buds, each looks to be roughly half an ounce each I reckon. Have a look at the size of the ones in the pictures below compared to A4 paper :) I think that CO2 enrichment helped an awful lot this time!

Here are some of my favourite photos. Take a look at the little weed fella with his hat and joint. I saved the best until the last post on this journal :) Enjoy!

Weighing day

So I've had my buds hanging and drying for about 5 days now with two fans going and my extraction fan on. The smaller stems on the buds snap and the bigger ones bend, just the right time to start curing them :) It's dry weight time!

So as usual I used a set of analog scales, I haven't got any decent digital ones that are capable of holding this much weight. Instead of weighing the tray and then the buds and taking the weight of the tray away, I've just chucked as much as I could fit into the scales and done 2 lots of weighing :)

So, the dry weight appears to be around about...

155-158g (again)

I'm definitely not complaining, it's a great harvest :) 155-160g seems to be the weight of most of my harvests for some reason. Then again, 1 big plant in 1 tent grown relatively consistently will yield consistent results I suppose.

Here are some pictures! Enjoy :) Up next is Star Ryder in DWC.

Hey Billy !! I've been a kinda away, but back, and great to see you still at it !! ;)

Any plans for a next run my friend? I've kicked off some ABB. No thread just yet, will do it this week. Chilling out on some fine AutoUltimate.

I really should think of revisiting TD.
