Yea, I do have a blackstar that I run. For me, too, heat is a major issue in that I have a real lack of it right now. I can't keep my temps up without a heater in the room. So I use the HID lights as a heater and a light

Yup HID lights make great heaters. If you only grow in the Winter great but when those 90 F days come how do you cool it without refrigeration. You don't.

Yea. We get very few 90 degree days on the coast, tho. But... that's what outside is for. And my room can keep pretty stable at 65 degrees with nothing in it during the summer, so as long as I can exhaust the room, keep lights in tubes, etc, that'll do me pretty good. In the summer I'll be running a skeleton grow inside as my focus will be outside in my enclosed greenhouse. Glad we got that locked down in the laws.

My worst problem is keeping the tank temperature on my bubbly set up down. The roots all turn brown when it gets above 75 F.
