New Grower The F'ing Finally Grows - first time grower, semi-perpetual

Finished the frame, everything connected and working, even set up the dimmer so the marking makes sense when viewed from the front, and then, as I'm ratcheting it up, one of the chains i was using snaps. No worries - I was holding the frame, nothing fell, still works - but aggravating as fuck. Another day's wait. Considering just buying in another pair of ratcheting hangers instead of running chains between the d-rings and ratcheting from those.

Anyway, this is the thing itself if anyone is curious. Big takeaways for the next one (just being honest - there's definitely gonna be a next one) are:
1) Cable management, which I didn't really plan(read: drill) for. Mostly for aesthetics, but I'm sure there's some technical upside too. I'll be replacing the wagos on the mains power with something like this - less janky with better strain relief, and waterproof which may not be necessary but is never bad.
2) Spend more time getting the bars at the exact right length and sanded down to a perfectly flat end - the shop that did the cutting did an okay job but one of the bars was shorter by about an inch, which actually works here because it left exactly enough space on one corner to fit in the dimmer. Sanding them down would've made for more perfect connections and the whole frame would've been more rigid and sturdy (it's fine, but it could be better).
3) Not sure about the spacing yet. They're a smidge further from each other than I've seen recommended, but hey - that just means more space for additions.

Employing the Pareto principle (80/20), I'd wager this will be a moderate success.

@Boradan

Looking good from here :slap:

Yup. Came out way less crap looking than I expected. Plus, I discovered I kind of like drilling into metal, which, y'know, I may never have found out otherwise.

Everything is finally all set up. Seedlings are in their final pots, tent is closed, waiting to see how the environment balances out so i know if i need to make any major changes. Lights are ~60cm above the plants, currently at full power:

Sweet Skunk in 3l soil. Bottom third has 20% added humus, middle third has 10%, top is plain potting soil. Got about a liter of water, will now wait for it to dry out before I water again.

3BOG in 50/50 coco/perlite. Misted the hole around the rockwool cube, plus the top of the coco, with 5.5ph water with 1ml/l cal-mag - mostly so it wouldn't suck all the liquid out of the rockwool too quickly:

Good news: both girls are looking well, seem to be growing fine - see pics.
Bad news: we just had a pretty bad problem with the roof of our apartment, so will probably have to have some people coming and going through the apartment starting tomorrow. Will try and minimize the damage, but honestly, I'm pretty sure i'll have to scrap this grow, and won't have a chance to get back to it before summer, which may well be too hot, so most likely not before October-November. Definitely a fuck my life kind of morning.

Forgot the pics, and also, got a call from my landlord that a municipal building inspector would be swinging by 'sometime today'. Amazing how quickly you can breakdown a tent. Hopefully the girls aren't too fucked from spending a few hours in a dark closet.
FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

Anyway, pics (Skunk first, 3BOG second):

Don't worry bro they will be fine

All will be good. I had to leave mine in the bathroom for a few hours whilst cleaning out my system.
All was golden afterwards.
Hopefully the inspection is soon and quick...

The inspection is no biggie. The biggie is we woke up to huge chunks of rock falling from the ceiling above our balcony. Not sure what kind of work it's going to take to repair this, but I doubt it'll be over in a day or two.
We'll see. If it's only over the next couple of weeks we might be able to figure out a system where we take the tent up and down as necessary, but once smells start we'll have to figure out a more permanent solution.

Ouch :(
Might be better to kill the plants now, and re-start when it will be safer to do so.
I would much rather do that than have to kill them off at 30+days :(
