Yeah I would love to have it back! I paid $800 for it in 1969. Sold it for $150 in 1975 after getting married and needing the money. I have never been a mechanic and it needed lots of work to keep running at that time. I just didn't have any place to store it any more as my father kicked it out of his garage. *LOL* After that one I had a 67 Plymouth Sport Fury with a 454 that got 7 miles to the gallon. It was a 2 door with bench seats but had a floor shifter. That was a fast car too but the SS was better. She still has my heart.

That Nissan looks like a Asian Gangster Car. I remember when they were Datsun! *LOL*

Here is a rb20det i built sometime ago 2005. this motor is from a skyline r34 GT not a R its a very rare neo non turbo inline 6 from 98. this is the smallest inline 6 ever built at 2.0 L I revved this motor very very high 9k or so..

This motor was built with a neo block ARP studs knife edged crank plus it was balanced to 10,000 RPMs I used a RB20DET head from 92 .. I should have used a twin TT from the RB26DETT but i sold it..

Oh man this hurts after reading your words outloud. No, I don't have a 2 door anything much less a 510. I just sold a heavily worked over WRX Ltd. cause I'm a loser, and am looking at older stuff for a DD. She had 320/345 AWH. Outran my 05 STI.
Looking at 510's and such just not reasonably priced anymore. Also searching for early Mustangs. Cliche but affordable. Love to find a fastback project that ran.
Great work on those engines man, hugely impressed. If I ever do get a 510, I'll def. come calling. What did your engines end up in?

Man All you guys make me so jealous! I was born in 75 but my dad built and owned all those cars. My dad like to build the 2 door Nova i remember in 82 me and my dad built a 350 block bored 20 over with 327 heads. that was when I learned about compression .. I was 7 years old out in the shop lapping valves..
I built my first go kart motor at 9 and my first Chevy motor at 12 .. I have built alot of motors in my life but I have never built a ford motor.. my dad would not talk to me if i did.


This motor i built before my son was born Its a SR20DET from a Nissan 200sx 240sx or silvia..
I built the hell out of it using a garret GT2871R turbo s15 pistons stock rods and crank ARP studs and nismo 3 layer head gaskit. it was 147 cubic inches and made 346 HP at 7Krpm at 17PSI of boost.

The red valve cover i painted with PPG world glass base red and PPG clear thats about 200 bucks worth of paint on that valve cover

I ran it in a 1998 240sx I miss this car so much and would give anything to get her back.
