I let my old blue himalaya thread get all dusty and shit so I figured I would move my self to a new one. I am just getting started up again after cleaning out my cabinet to get rid of thrips. If you have never experienced the horror of those little bastards, thank your lucky stars. On to the details.

I picked up the plastic cabinet at Homedepot for $100. It is about 3' wide X 2' deep X 6'tall. I have two bath exhaust fans pulling air out the back of it.

I can attest to this... took me 2 months to get rid of them right through a grow... they hurt my yields and killed a bunch of seedlings.... Fresh Karma Sent M8!
I'm pullin up a chair.. love wachin your grows bro!

I was so overwhelmed with the thrips that I decided to give the hempy method a try. It has ended up being more of a dwc than hempy. I put 4 inch airstones in the bottom of my buckets and moved the hole up from the bottom, creating a deeper water table that is aerated. My holes are about 5 inches from the bottom and they seem to be doing fine.

Way cool! That setup looks pretty sweet. So the perilite wicks pretty good then or do ya have a piece of something to do that too?

The air stone bubbles the solution up through the perlite pretty good. When I stick my finger in up to the second knuckle it is moist.

I am using the fox farms trio as well as bushdoctor's microbe brew.

sweet as looks great

Well the healthier of my two soil transplants showed male today, so he had to go.
I am also fiddling with a starting tray to let my starter plugs sit in. I just put an airstone in the bottom under about two inches of perlite. A little PH'ed water and this is the result.

My other soil transplant showed hairs yesterday and it is looking none the worse for wear after being jerked out of soil and dropped into perlite. It is the larger one in the green container. The Sour Diesel Haze male in the blue container should be dropping pollen within the next two weeks. other than that is just a bunch of sprouts right now.
