Completed The 2023 Outdoor Auto-Photo Competition!

@Waira Official Update

I have opted for the 304 as my official Autoflower entry. 304 is harvested, washed and into the dryers. I took lots of photos for the contest because I’m not sure which one I’ll submit for the voting yet. But here are some candidates. By the way @FullDuplex did it again with this strain it’s sticky icky Sugar Pine.

Here’s the wash process I do in the bathtub area
2 buckets 4 gal of room temp water. 75F
Blue bucket has 1.5 Tablespoons of GreenGro Flower Shower in it and the clear bucket is just clean water at room temp. Submerge and softly agitate the bud in the water - blue bucket, shake the bud a little and wash in the clear bucket, shake off excess water and then hang dry for 1-2 hrs.

Then I cut the buds down a little bit and load my Herbs now dryer. These were some chunkers so it took one tray with two additional spacer trays to make three levels of dankness. Max nine trays and off we go drying.

Apologies again for me being scarce, I feel like a couple Tbsp's of butter over a whole loaf of bread = 😵‍💫 ...real life getting in the way of fun dammit! -- LOL

PS-When I can stop actualizatin on individual strains? In day of harvest or day of end drying?I have harvested autos :greencheck:
Not sure I'm understanding mate, on the seeds post above and this quote too?
No worries, I understand English isn't you first language, and it's a difficult language to learn!
"Actualization" isn't the right word, "update" is what I think you mean...
And about that, a picture at harvest is fine and best-

🌲Hi guys!Photo actualization....
All plants go to flowering and now Tropicanna poison fast and Cotton candy kush early do prolongation branching!

:woohoo1::cool1: Excellent to hear the FV types are all in bloom now! This is interesting and relevant info for those of us who are interested in "fast versions", auto/photo crosses... Jean-O in particular since he breeds both types, and has a variety of such crosses!
he and I have been talking over the years about their behavior, performance, and how they don't always behave like expected... A big difference in how some of the big company breeders do it seems to be they usually work with an auto version of the same parent Photo cultivar...
This is actually a subject worth a whole thread of it's own, lots to discuss and share!
But that has to wait for now, I need to keep on point here with catching up-

Sorry mate, you have to pick just one auto and one photo for the final choices-- hard as it is! ---* oh, next page showed that you have-- :cool1:
Your harvest looks excellent mate, you'll have plenty of good pics of live buds for the voting Polls-
That OA is extra frosty, you should show this to @Sweet Seeds Apolo and @Sweet Seeds Jay ....
@Waira update on the outdoor photoperiods
:spels: they are all shaping up nicely, primed for explosive blooming!
Speed' has come a long ways man, compared to where she was and a shaky start! ...could be she's just a picky pheno', and often as not no telling that until they are well grown up and long long past ditching...

The tester outdoor Cream Cheeze F1Fv has a great structure and is flowering fast and early. This is my crossing of Sweet Seeds Zkittlez/ Sweet Zenzation x Cream Cheese auto which is Blue Cheese auto x RBF auto. It smells amazing like a peppery creamy gas.
Somehow that makes perfect sense with those parents! I had a very similar aroma from a Fugue State auto a while back... An odd blend to my nose at least!
RBF #1 &2 are making me drool over the creamy terps that are coming from them. Colors are just starting to fade and the flowers are getting nice n dense.
... I still have a wee bit of RBF left, been hoarding that little treasure! :crying:
Fingers cross-crossed they finish clean and no Rots - :goodluck:.. I feel if the buds don't get too fat, they'll be fine... Just gotta super careful about watering late in the final stages, I personally think a lot of trouble comes from guttation happening at night due to well watered soil... the plants want to expel that excess water, seen it on my girls before and it's a kicker for rots to get foothold...

The Kush Kush is looking and smelling amazing. I had someone describe the aroma as a freshly showered woman and haven't been able to get that thought out of my mind every time I smell this plant. I would say that's a fair description of the aroma's I'm getting off this plant, and she's stacked with some greasy frosty dense flowers.
Oooo, that's a great description! Clean, floral-perfumey,... why not, we're already eye-humping her!

That RBF photo, a Cannarado product? that could be a master stroke into more gold Jean, I can't wait to see how they mesh up genetically and if the rootbeer aroma intensifies and locks down even better...

All the autos (comp and non comp) are now in some stage of flower. The photos are showing they are getting close to flipping. Cloudy day today for pics.
:woohoo1:Great news my man! They look juicy and stanky... 😛
I have an update to do as well, right now all three semi's are staring to bloom...photo girls have a bit to go yet which is fine, they are all smaller than usual for this stage... No 2m Sativa queens hustling me around this year-
Sooo
We had a possum in the hen house...

So the three Fire OG kushes that were in the 65 gallon pot. Two purebreds and one unknown that came up on its own. That happened to be the biggest one also that came up on its own. So like right after last photo shoot I was out there working with them and I noticed the gender finally started showing.

Just as I suspected... What I started seeing mushroom heads like 4 days ago. I was like ah son of a gun. Sure as s*** here we are today... Bummer.
-- you too?! ...my Grenadine mystery plant turned out to be a male after all, so the daddy issue is even more muddy than before!-- was it a nanner, not another stray pollen cross... or a super freak fem-gone-male which CAN and does happen!
Fork me, I'm pretty disappointed, was looking so forward to this cross...
Be glad you caught the bastard early before he knocked up half the neighborhood!
Hot and dry still Happy Farming from N Mich grow Bros and Babes Started on the dry top dress for flowering
:growing:<-- nice pic of your girls brother! :crying:
those two are lovely, truly... ornamental-grade stuff, they look quite nice as landscaping plants....
Dig the new privacy fence too! :cool1:

DaaAAaaamn she's a chunky chica! ...great aroma too, sweet pine is a classic...
And a reminder for me about Flower Shower! I need to look that up,.. tell me they have less than 2lbs sizes?! If not I may have to mooch a cup off ya- ...2lbs is a life time supply at my rate of use!

:jointman:...time for an update with my crew...

The photo's are taking to the fresh soil with huge smiles, they seemed to really need that size jump, more than usual...
The late topping was very slow to kick off the lat's pushing up, but that's happening now finally!
Fully photo types have 2+ weeks to fill out more before expected blooming, which is needed for sure.
The two semi-auto's are blooming, but interestingly the fully photo but super fast UEL is in the lead!
The strongly Thai + Haze derived Asian Haze was last to show, but she's started for sure now...
As mentioned, the Grenadine was a male sadly, but at least I had a back-up plant in a 2nd Spice Rose... She got Gren's pot!
Some LST done, nip&tuck too...

>>> Asian Haze @WildBill ... was I worried about stretch?:rolleyes2: :haha: ...shiiiiit, she's wider than tall! ... fab' structure, she's perfect for me in this regard...

>>> Miss K'
project plant, at semi-auto stage (breeder is working this superb Kush cut into an auto)... Another really nice structure! the root squeeze trick worked, she didn't stretch too much more, shaped up perfectly with little LST and leaf nipping.... topped too, don't want more rot hiccups with main tops!

>>> Humboldt Afghani- a wonky plant/pheno, not very good vigor or structure, alas... her T20M mate isn't either, my notorious bad pheno luck as usual!.... she's getting better though, still time to fill out more...

>>> Sour Strawburied still very clumped; main stem is like a lodge pole! ...super slow to expand laterals...

@Waira that Asian haze is really nice. I’ll send you a bag of the flower shower. I do t think they do small bags.
:toke: Thanks Mason! She's been swimming in my head since Bill grew her last season, and took a little clone that was just as nice in miniature- :spels:
LBH ghosted on AFN again, a while back... I have no idea if AHz is getting made again, but the site has been out for a year now... I was hoping he'd stay on the fem seed thing, but that didn't happen...

Wow, that's very kind of you mate - :pighug:... yes, i just looked around, 2lbs is the smallest...
How much per gal does it call for?

@Waira
That Asian Haze and Miss K just have fantastic structure.
You really couldn't ask for a better structure on either one I don't think.

My inventory says I have three seeds oh Asian haze, but I don't think that's right. I'm just gonna have to make some S1 seeds .

edit................. I was looking at my notes when I grew Asian haze.
Both Asian haze slowed and essentially stopped their stretch about 10 days or so after flower begins in earnest.
