Completed The 2021 Outdoor Auto/Photo Competition!

The spores are in the air and everywhere. It is the conditions that get you. It is a dicey proposition to get them through when it starts happening.
I would say it depends on how bad you need the weed and what you plan on using it for. Personally, I would chop early than lose a lot more in the long run.

Thank you for confirming what I was thinking. The majorly affected plant is a Hindu kush auto and it is 11 weeks from seed and has been flowering for 6 weeks. Might have to be good enough

Are any of you dealing with issues due to unrelenting rain? I am in the north east US and its been a pretty terrible season weather wise. 90 degrees at times and now rain rain rain. I am later in flower with a barneys zkittles og auto and Hindu kush auto and the bud rot is starting to ramp up. I prune as soon as I see some forming and spray a 5% hydrogen peroxide/ water mist to try to kill off spores that may linger. Is there anything else I can do or should I just chop early? I would estimate they have two to three weeks left before ideal harvest.
A lot of time the rot starts from the moths/caterpillars eating your buds. You can try CannControl but if it’s bad you probably need to cut you losses or cut the rot out and spot spray with h2o2 to try and disinfect or consider harvesting. Last year I fought both two weeks before harvest and ended up loosing easily a lb of flower. Ending up having to do a bud washing in the rain to kill any residual mold or mildew that wasn’t viewable to the naked eye and still had a few buds sour.

Thanks for the advice. I think she needs a couple more weeks but will be chopping her this weekend to salvage what I can. I will do a three bucket wash to make sure all the bad is washed away. Been such a bad outdoor season. First my purple lemonade turned out a stunted wispy 7.5 gram dried plant. Then sweet seeds red cbd had the same result, 10.5 grams or larf. Here's hoping the barneys zkittles og pulls through. Damn lucky I always do an inside back up. Case in point, my fastbuds blue dreamatic on her final week before the chop next weekend

I've had plants over 10 feet tall that all i did was put four long stakes in the ground, and tied twine around the stakes at 6 inch intervals or so to keep the plant caged, so to speak. I didn't mess with the top of the plant, as I had about 6.5 feet of stake to work with, as that is far up as the stakes went. I used 3/4" EMT conduit for the stakes and jute twine. I never had a broken branch using that method.

So to answer ur question.. I wouldn't add anything to the top, butz that is me.
I use to do plots of 100 super skunk plants they got HUGE 12 TO 15 FEET tall and we did nothing we could not between a 40 hour work week and growing having to water every three days and feed the next three days.We had the odd branch snap and and use a stake to hold her into place but that was not normal by no means I have grown some huge arse outdoor plants in Ontario Canada. That being said one plant trellised up should produce some heavy buds. And allot of bud. I am going to love watching @WildBill plant grow I am subbed for this one.

The way she is developing, she should make a good bit of canna. Her smaller sister's buds are developing nicely and they are frosting up with a good amount on the sugar leaf. A good sign this early in flower.
This is my first time with netting and I really like the flexibility in training. I broke out the garden tape to train some stems between the top and lower levels.. The lower stems have nice little bud site all along them. It's been easy so far in arranging them not to overshadow others on the other levels. Her structure has helped this also. I can see that she looks like it will get pretty busy on the lower levels.

It is going to produce allot of nice bud the top is going to look fantastic in that trellis and it will pay off huge I wish I could try it but I have to remain stealth even though we can grow it up here the punks around here make that impossible to try things that stand out.

harvest minime 7/30
Update @Waira
Well I have called it, its time I have chopped the girl down after having a close look at the main bud I noticed bud rot or Mold, the rest of the plant seems OK, so I chopped the moldy bit of and have moved into my drying room,

So true.. that and everyone and their aunts uncle are trying to grow.. I believe I’ve been pollinated .. debating on bringing photos inside to finish

I find a gun and no sleep to be the only remedy... with the salt shots.. not trying to kill anyone.
Or you can be nuts and hide electric currents. Massive blue dye bomb is what I want someone will spot a smurf somewhere
