This is an experiment of a simple noncirculating hydroponic method that was inspired by two articles I read from the University of Hawaii.
Below are the two articles.
Growing Hydroponic Cucumbers in a Plastic Trash Container
http://www.ctahr.hawaii.edu/oc/freepubs/pdf/HG-44.pdf
and the other article is
A Simple Hydroponic Growing Kit for Short-Term Vegetables
http://www.ctahr.hawaii.edu/oc/freepubs/pdf/HG-42.pdf
My version uses a standard nursery quart pot, a 5gallon bucket and a lid.
